Team Muso R12 series World GT conversion kit

Japanese company Team Muso introduce the World GT conversion kit for the Yokomo R12 and R12C3 1/12th scale pan car. Included in the kit are all necessary parts to convert the R12 into a 200mm wide WGT as are a new long wheelbase chassis, carbon front bumper, upper and lower brace, brace mount, chassis brace, battery support, battery posts, front suspension spacers, rear bulkhead spacer, aluminium wheel hubs and hardware. Not included are wheels, tyres, the body or electronics. According to Team Muso th kit also works with Yokomo’s GT500 line of club racing cars.

Roche Yokomo big bore shock set

The Roche big bore shock absorber set for the Yokomo BD7 includes all needed parts to convert the kit suspension for the use with large volume shocks. The set comes with new aluminium threaded shock absorbers with aluminium upper and lower caps, different fluorine rubber diaphragms, titanium-nitride coated shocks shafts, for types of VBC big bore springs, 4-hole pistons and low profile carbon fibre shock towers. The shocks are also usable on many other cars that use low-profile shock absorbers.

Yokomo announce new brushless controllers

Yokomo introduce three new brushless speed controllers in the form of the BL-SP3, BL-RS3 +Turbo and the BL-Pro3 +Turbo. While the SP3 with its 8.5T motor limit is more of an intermediate level offering both the RS3 +Turbo and the Pro3 +Turbo are pure competition speedos. The latter two offer an aluminium heatsink case, they are widely adjustable using Yokomo’s optional programming box and it is understood that they offer both a zero timing and a turbo mode making them ideal for blinky, boosted and modified racing alike. All three speed controllers will become available in October and details on specifications and features will be available shortly.

Yokomo B-Max2MR Ver.2 announced

After introducing the updated B-Max4 III a couple of days ago Yokomo now announce the soon release of the new B-Max2 Ver.2 2WD buggy. Included in the kit will be some of the option parts Yokomo have to offer for their 2WD platform as there is the recently introduces aluminium chassis with composite side pods, aluminium idler gears for the transmission and steel diff gear internal. The chassis will greatly improve handling especially on medium to high grip surfaces while the idler and internal diff gears make for better durability and also a more efficient drivetrain. The buggy that can be built in mid or rear motor configuration will hit the stores from End of September.

Yokomo SD Sport 4WD touring car

Yokomo now have the SD Sport 4WD sport-level touring car kit available. Based on Yokomo’s drift chassis the SD Sport features standard drivetrain and suspension components making it ideal for cost-efficient touring car racing. The car is based on a moulded composite tub chassis and features an efficient shaft drivetrain, aluminium die-cast motor mount, front spool axle, rear ball differential, double wishbone suspension, moulded shock absorbers, and full ball bearings. By using optional drivetrain components and drift tyres the chassis can also be converted back to a drift car. The kit comes as rolling chassis without electronics, tyres or body shell.

Yokomo Europe B-Max2 brass front bulkhead

After releasing an 11g brass insert for the front bulkhead of the B-Max2 buggy Yokomo Europe now introduce a complete brass suspension mount. The bulkhead is machined from a single piece of brass and weights 50g in total. It is designed to add weight to the front end of the buggy, a tuning option that can be useful for both rear and mid motor buggies when running on high grip surfaces. The part is a direct replacement and available now.

Yokomo B-Max4 III - More details

Having just released two photos of their new B-Max4 III chassis earlier in the week, Yokomo have now more details and images available. Confirming what we wrote previously the car has a newly designed aluminium main chassis and separate composite side plates for improved straight line stability and rapid cornering. This new configuration has done away with the need for a top deck which also helps with the ease of maintenance. The car also features a new gearbox, slipper drive unit, new wheels with a 12mm Hex and sports a lower centre of gravity for improved cornering.

Yokomo B-Max4 III – First images

US Yokomo distributors A Main Hobbies just released first images on the upcoming B-Max4 III 4WD buggy. The updated kit will feature a topdeck-less  aluminium chassis instead of a plastic tub chassis as used on the previous model. The drive train and slipper are also redesigned, the servo mount appears to be of a floating design as seen on electric touring cars these days and the kit will include carbon fibre shock towers, 12mm wheel hex adapters and a reduced amount of fasteners to make for a reduced all-up weight. More details will be released soon.
