Zen-Racing 1/12 rear pod

Zen-Racing 1/12 rear pod

Zen-Racing have launched a new rear pod assembly for the most popular 1/12 cars on the market. The rear motor mount and suspension part is made from high-quality 2.5mm carbon fibre and aerospace-quality aluminium. It is of a full box design to keep the pod rigid and square under the extreme forces of the modern brushless motors. Existing rear pods with plastic ride height adjusters can distort under the torque from the motor, the Zen option stops this and it also incorporates a sliding ride height adjustment for the rear axle doing away with the need to remove the shaft to adjust the ground clearance. An optional carbon shim set is also available offering adjustment steps down to 0.15mm. The upgrade part is available for Associated, Yokomo, CRC, Serpent and other chassis.

Yokomo B-Max2 optional parts

YokomoBMAX-AlloyChassis

Some weeks ago Yokomo announced new option parts for the B-Max2 line of 2WD buggies and now the parts are available for pre-order. Starting with the aluminium main chassis kit for the B-Max2WR and RS, the set is designed to improve both chassis stiffness and handling performance over the stock composite chassis. Featuring a hybrid construction and moulded plastic side pieces that are used to provide space for the electronics. Next up are two graphite battery holders that provide weight savings as well as improved pitch stiffness. Available for mid and rear motor cars the part also includes all needed mounting hardware and aluminium thumb screws. Designed to improve the rigidity of the front end are the narrow front upper arm mount and the front lower suspension mount. Both parts are available separately, CNC-machined from aluminium and they improve the feeling of the front end by adding weight. Those who want to improve the steering feeling of the buggy may like the aluminium steering bellcrank set. Included with the CNC-machined and blue anodised parts are four ball bearings to make for virtually frictionless steering action. The parts are more rigid than the stock moulded composite levers and offer rock solid cornering performance.

Yokomo B-Max2 option parts announced

Yokomo B-Max2 option parts announced

Yokomo announce the soon release of a handful of new parts for the B-MaxMR and RS line of 2WD buggies. First up is a new hybrid material chassis set that combines an aluminum chassis plate with composite plastic side rails. Designed for both the MR and RS kit the set is meant to increase chassis stiffness and therefore handling and on-track performance. The second new part are aluminum steering bellcranks with integrated ball bearings. Machined from high quality alloy the parts improve steering response and durability. Next up is a new front upper arm mount with improved stiffness and a higher weight compared to the stock part. Designed to improve the front end feel the narrow-wide part is a direct replacement. Also new is the lower suspension out, again a reinforced part with increased weight for added tenability. Next up are two new battery mounting kits for mid and rear motor cars. The parts save weight and improve pitch stiffness for improved handling characteristics. Also new come aluminium bleeder caps for the ‘X’ shocks. The part come as pairs including screws and seals. Last but not least are two drivetrain parts in the form of an aluminum idler gear and die-cat steel gear diff internals. Both part are meant to improve drivetrain durability.
