Team Bomber YRX12 carbon fibre chassis stiffener

Team Bomber from Japan have announced the release of a carbon fibre chassis stiffener plate for the Yokomo YRX12 1/12th on-road pan car and their own YR12XX conversion kit. The plate is machined from high-quality carbon fibre and it mounts under the central damper post, reinforcing the chassis in longitudinal direct for improved pitch stiffness and thus better acceleration and corner speed. Yokomo YD-2 rear ESC mount

Yokomo have introduced a new rear speed controller mount for their YD-2 series of drift cars. The design is a result of extensive testing of Yokomo’s team drivers, allowing for best possible weight distribution and transfer while allowing for easy ESC mounting and accessibility. The new option is a 2-piece aluminium and carbon fibre construction that combines secure speedo mounting and cool looks with the rigidity of the mount also helping with rear traction. Positioning the ESC in the rear not only helps to increase rear traction, it also reduces weight over the front, further freeing up the weight shift capabilities of the chassis. Increased gearbox and shock tower rigidity was achieved by connecting the whole rear end and also the diffusor for improved throttle feeling while the higher centre of gravity enhances the roll and weight shift characteristics of the chassis. ESC mount will hit stores early this June.

T-Works BD9 adjustable battery holder

Coming from T-Works and made for the Yokomo BD9 touring car is an adjustable battery holder. The set includes carbon fibre mounting brackets and hold downs as well as alloy mounts as well as black anodised aluminium and gold-colour steel hardware. The design of the battery holder allows to adjust the car’s weight bias within certain limits while doing away with the need to use battery tape thanks to the floating battery mounts, ensuring easier battery swaps and more natural chassis flex.

JConcepts P2K YZ-2 body buggy body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new P2K body shell for the Yokomo YZ-2 2WD buggy. An evolution of the P2 body, the “K” is sleeker by removing rear down-force features to allow the buggy to turn on the tightest circuits and carpet and astroturf surfaces where traction is always plentiful. The entire centre section of the cab on the P2K has a channel based design to flow directly over the middle of the vehicle to stabilise the at-speed handling. The front of the cab, important to performance, includes the P2 position with heavily recessed front windshield. The JConcepts edge treatment remains on the side-capsule area for air-flow direction by the cab and pointing the force to the rear wing area. The chamfering stands out as a JConcepts design feature on every new shell, the P2K has those elements and in great positions for decals and paint allocation. The P2K takes into account, spur covers and drops over the kit supplied setup. Rear louvers tuck into the rear stance of the shell which can always be customer trimmed for a slight amount of heat escape. The body included two S-type rear wings for durability, rear traction and high-speed tracking.
