Hiro Seiko introduce new on-road lightweight screw sets

Hiro Seiko have announced the release of new lightweight screw sets for a range of on-road kits, such as the Awesomatix A800X Evo, Serpent F110 SF4, Xray T4F, and the Yokomo YRX12’19. The screw kits are available as full titanium or mixed titanium and aluminium sets, with the latter including titanium for the lower and alloy screws for the upper areas of the chassis. The Awesomatix, Serpent and Yokomo specific mixed sets include natural titan and silver anodised alloy screws while the Xray set utilises orange anodised alloy fasteners to match the car’s alloy parts. Using the screws will lower the vehicle’s overall weight while offering higher corrosion resistance and cooler looks than the standard steel fasteners.

Yokomo BD9 6-hole shock pistons

Yokomo have introduced new 6-hole shock pistons for the BD9 touring car. Using the same hole diameter as the standard 4-hole variants, the 6-hole parts offer improved absorption against fine vibrations while keeping good overall response for enhanced traction. Also the outer diameter is also slightly enlarged for less blow-by during fast compression and thus improved balance in fast corners. To achieve the same mount of damping, upping shock viscosity by 50 to 100cst is advised.

Yokomo 1/12th scale direct drive diff lock rings

Yokomo have introduced direct drive diff lock rings for Yokomo and Team Associated 1/12th scale pan cars. The composite rings allow to convert a ball differential into a spool axle, a setup that is very popular when running on high to very high bite surfaces such as CRC black carpet. The rings are run instead of the diff plates and ball and they interlock with the spur gear, making for a solid axle with no differential action. The plates are available for Yokomo kits, fitting the YRX-12 and YR-10F cars, and they also come as Team Associated compatible variant.

Vigor T4 & BD9 centre stiffener links

Vigor RC have announced the release of carbon fibre centre link sets for the Xray T4 2017 to 2019 and Yokomo BD9 touring cars. The set includes 1mm, 1.5mm and 2.2mm centre links that allow to tune the pitch and roll stiffness of the chassis by simply swapping the links, with the thinner parts allowing for more flex while the stiffer braces reduce overall flex. The sets are available separately for the T4 and BD9.

Vigor RC BD9 battery mount set

Vigor RC have introduced a carbon fibre battery mount kit for the Yokomo BD9 touring car. The tweak-free battery mounting system is constructed from carbon fibre and aluminium and it does away with the need to use tape to strap the battery into the chassis in favour of a mount that only slightly touches the upper parts of the battery. The result is more natural and equal flex left to right while the overall design also allows to shift the battery forth and back in order to fine-tune the car’s weight balance.
