Yokomo have officially announced that the all new BD8 1/10th touring car is coming. The Yokomo factory team are running prototypes of the new car in Beijing, China this week at the IFMAR Worlds, and we are told that the new platform is scheduled for an October release. Italian company Framega have introduced a 2mm aluminium chassis and lower pod plate for the Yokomo YRX-12 1/12th scale pan car. Machined from high-quality 7075-T6 material the chassis sports strategically machined cut-outs to save both weight and offer optimised flex characteristics. A lot of attention was also put into reducing chassis scrubbing during hard cornering and so the side link attachment points received additional machining to achieve some extra clearance. Both the chassis and lower pod plate come black anodised, with silver chamfered edges for looks and they are available now.
Tailor-made for Yokomo’s YZ2 buggy are JConcepts’ new Aero narrow and wide front wings. Mounted above the front shock tower on the Yokomo YZ2 series of vehicles, the Aero front wing mounts in clean air and is quite easy to trim, use and test without sacrificing all important track time. Available in two widths, the driver can choose either the narrow variant for a lighter feel or the wide wing for heavier down force. The Aero wing features a high-attack design with trim-able rear gurney options. A radical, edgy design which functions and compliments the Finnisher and Silencer body design includes elements and features fresh for the latest off-road conditions. Cut lines are included for easy trimming while triple wing mount dimples are included for a bolt-on fit to the popular Yokomo series of vehicles. The wings come clear and in sets of either two narrow or two wide wings.

T-Works have introduced the refined version two of their progressive damping system for the Yokomo BD7-2016. Offering larger diameter pistons and a greatly reduced wall thickness of the alloy inserts the set, in combination with 400 to 600 oil, will make for even better performance especially on technical tracks with high corner speeds. The set includes four alloy inserts and four plain pistons and it is available now.

Coming from T-Works are new titanium suspension pin sets for the Xray T4 and Yokomo BD7 range of cars. The 8-piece sets contain both the inner and outer suspension shafts with the lightweight high-quality material used reducing overall weight while keeping exceptional rigidity in the event of a crash. The T4 set is usable on the ’15 and ’16 kits and the same applies to the BD7-related kit that also is usable for the respective ’15 and ’16 variants.
Yokomo have introduced their updated Racing Pit Bag IV. Version four of the popular hauler bag was improved in terms of ease of use and also durability and it sports updated stitched graphics and seams. The bag features a four-drawer design, integrated tool holding loops, a pocket for a setup board and manuals, as well as sturdy wheels and an extractable extricable handle. The bag is available from early August.
Coming from Yokomo is the Team Suzuki made 2-way motor mount set for the Drift Package series of cars. The mount allows to mount the motor in two different positions, a high and a low one, in order to fine-tune the centre of gravity for a range of applications including RWD drifting. Using the mount requires for some DIY work on the optional quick change battery mount but otherwise it is a direct fit. Also new is the 49mm universal driveshaft dogbone for the YD-2 and YD-4 kits. Available separately the part fits both Yokomo’s 2WD and 4WD drift machines and it is available now.
Coming from Vigor and made for the Yokomo BD7-2016 touring car is a carbon fibre bulkhead spacer set. The plates allow to raise the front and rear bulkheads as well as the motor mount to give slightly improved flex which can be beneficial in certain track conditions. The set includes four 1.0mm and 1.5mm lower bulkhead spacers as well as two 1.0mm and four 1.5mm lower motor mount spacers, all made from high-quality carbon fibre.
