Exotek Yokomo 1/10 buggy aluminium option parts

Exotek Yokomo 1/10 buggy aluminium option parts

Exotek Racing have new aluminium option parts for Yokomo’s YZ line of 1/10th off-road vehicles available. First up are zero degree rear hubs for the YZ-2 and YZ4. They are machined from 7075 aluminium and sport a vertical ball stud mounting position for easy roll centre adjustments. Extra machining makes the parts light of weight without sacrificing durability and they are utilising an extra hole for using a 3mm set screw on the hinge pin for improved fit. The parts are anodised in factory black and they sport etched Exotek logos.

It offers a flexible battery layout, a floating servo mount, long side links and a sliding rear centre pivot. The front suspension is completely redesigned compared to the previous model and it will allow for inline or trailing wheel axles to adjust the steering characteristics. Yokomo YZ-4 1/10th 4WD buggy kit

During this week’s 2015 IFMAR Electric Offroad World Championships Yokomo’s all-new YZ-4 1/10th 4WD electric off-road buggy is making a first public appearance following its stealthy debut at the opening round of the 2015/16 EOS. Designed by Shin Adachi the car features a totally new drivetrain layout with dual 2WD-style 3-gear transmissions on ether end which are coupled by dual drivebelts to replace the shaft drivetrain of the proven yet slightly ageing B-Max4 car. SMC YZ-2 brass weight kits

SMC YZ-2 brass weight kits

Coming from SMC and made for the Yokomo YZ-2 2WD buggy are two brass weights in the form of front rear pivot plate and the front motor plate brace. Designed to adapt the car to lower bite conditions the brass weights will make for a less aggressive forward weight distribution by adding weight to the rear end without harming the buggy’s mid corner speed. The front rear pivot was designed to take up all the space between the transmission and the motor while still providing critical anti-squat clearance with or without the kit shim. SMC pushed the block into all the nooks and crannies they could and not simply copied the design of the standard part with this resulting in a whopping 68g or rearward weight shift. The front motor plate brace in the kit is a small aluminium L brace, but the new part filled up the space under the waterfall as much as possible. Full motor displacement is still available, as well as clearance for the rubber pad under the brace with the motor plate attachment hole is still usable too. The motor brace place weighs in at 34g and the two parts are available separately or as combo kit.
