New from LMR, the brand of UK frontrunner Lee Martin, is the complete upgraded bearing kit for the Yokomo YZ-2 buggy available. The 24-piece set includes all required bearings whose quality not only help to boost the performance but also durability. The metal-shielded set, as “used in Lee Martin’s car” is up for grabs now.

From Yokomo and made for the Drift Package range of on-road vehicles come the RWD conversion kits. Available in an aluminium and an aluminium/plastic version the sets will increase the counter steering angle and allow for a wide range of steering Ackermann adjustments. The aluminium version also provides a wider selection of upper arm pivot points for increased control over the front tyre angles. Included in both sets are a front shock tower, front upper arms, front upper arm supports, with these parts coming as aluminium or plastic items depending on the selected set while the included aluminium lower arms, alloy steering knuckles and long steering bellcranks come as alloy parts in both sets.

Coming from Samix and made for the Yokomo BD7-2015 is an aluminium chassis set. Cut from high-quality 7075-T6 material and with a black anodised the chassis is only 82mm wide for improved ground clearance during heavy cornering while the dark anodising with silver chamfered edges makes for a quality appearance. Included is also a suitable 30mm fan mount with wire routing channel. As with the majority of aluminium chassis this one is best used on high traction asphalt or carpet tracks.

Samix have a new carbon fibre main chassis for the Yokomo BD7-2015 available. Made from soft matte finish carbon fibre material the chassis is only 82mm wide for improved ground clearance during heavy cornering. The soft weave makes for more torsional flex which can help increase overall grip and traction in certain track conditions. Also included is an aluminium fan mount for 30mm units that also incorporates a routing channel for the connection wire.

Yokomo have announced the signing of Marc Rheinard to their off-road team for 2015 and 2016. Marc will race the company’s 2WD and 4WD buggies and he will join Yokomo’s UK super star driver Lee Martin in his campaign that will see appearances at the World Championships in Japan, the European Championships in the UK and also at the EOS. This is what Marc had to say about the deal:
I would like to thank Team Yokomo to give me the opportunity to use 2wd and 4wd Buggy for the next years including the WC in Japan and EC in England and also the EOS races. it’s also nice to be a teammate with Lee Martin again. Factory RC have new carbon fibre option parts for the Yokomo YZ-2 and B-Max4 buggies available. Starting with the YZ-2 parts first up is a shorty battery strap that utilises the company’s plastic battery stop system. Made from 3mm carbon fibre the part includes 2 blocks and either steel or titanium screws.

Yokomo have announced the signing of 6-times China National Champion Wang Hai Feng to their team. The reigning China National Electric Touring Car Champion was signed to strengthen Yokomo’s position in the important Chinese market and he will use the company’s machinery through to 2016 in his campaign that will see attendances at National and International races including the TITC, the Japan Nationals and also selected ETS events. Wang has the following to say about the deal:

Yokomo have introduced their latest Drift Package set, the GReddy R35 Spec-D. Building on a proven shaft-drive 4WD drift car chassis with double wishbone suspension, front and rear solid axles, universal front driveshafts and adjustable shock absorbers with moulded shock bodies the car is ready for some serious drift action right out of the box. Included with the rolling chassis comes a Nissan GTR bodyshell with numerous drift-specific aerodynamic details. A suitable Running Set, including a 2.4GHz radio system, steering servo, motor, speed controller and charger is available separately.
