Pro-Line Pro-Spec buggy shocks

Pro-Line Pro-Spec buggy shocks

Pro-Line have introduced 1/10th buggy versions of their Pro-Spec high-performance shock absorbers. Previously only available for 1/10th short course trucks the shock Pro-Spec dampers now also come for today’s most popular buggies. They are of a 12mm Big Bore design with a single low friction X-ring seal while the pistons and shaft guides are made from smooth white Delrin for low stiction. The threaded aluminium bodies house 3.5mm thick shock shafts with hard chrome coating, just like full scale racing shocks. The shocks also feature an easy access bleeder cap screw for consistent shock builds every time and each pair includes three different piston options of 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 sizes as well as a blank piston for drilling to a custom size. Custom shock tightening tools and optional shock limiters are also included. The dampers accept most 12mm big bore buggy springs and included are also several upper and lower shock pivot balls as well as optional +2, +4 and +6mm spring perches to fit a wider range of vehicles right out of the box. Coming as separate front and rear sets the shocks are known to fit the Team Associated B5, B5M and B44.3, the Kyosho RB6 and ZX-6, the TLR 22 2.0 and 22-4 as well as the Yokomo B-Max2 and B-Max4.

EX Lab BD7 floating steering & servo mount

EX Lab BD7 floating steering & servo mount

Excellence Laboratory is busy introducing more option parts for some of the most common electric touring car kits. Following first renderings of a floating steering and servo mount for the Xray T4 earlier this week EX Lab now also announce the trick part for Yokomo’s BD7. The floating steering assembly is designed to remove the steering bellcrank posts from the main chassis which leads to a softer flex setting and less influence of the chassis flex on the steering geometry during cornering. It is understood that the set will include new inner and outer servo mounts, a redesigned upper carbon fibre plate, alloy steering posts and an additional post to connect the steering plate with the top deck for additional chassis hardness settings.

Radtec introduce a 7075 aluminium main chassis plate for the Yokomo BD7-2015 touring car. Made from 2.0mm high-grade aluminium and using the kit’s original chassis shape the chassis offers a higher rigidity than the standard carbon fibre part and precision machining to reduce the overall weight. The left and right outer edges sport 15 degree chamfered edges to reduce chassis scrubbing in high speed corners and the black anodised chassis is a direct replacement for the kit part.

Spec-R BD7 & R2 “floating” option parts

Spec-R BD7 & R2

Spec-R have new option parts for the Yokomo BD7 and their own R2 electric touring car available. Starting with the Yokomo part, made for the BD7 2014 and 2015 Spec is a floating steering conversion kit. The set replaces the standard, chassis-mounted, steering assembly with a floating design to eliminate the influence of the chassis’ torsional flex on the steering behaviour. Included are a black anodised aluminium centre bracket that acts as the inner servo mount and also as a base for the upper steering plate that takes the steering bellcrank posts and the outer servo mount. With the the steering posts lifted from the chassis it can also flex more for an overall softer chassis feel.
