Mayako announces Youth Development Drivers

We are big fans of supporting the emerging talents of racing so it is nice to Mayako announce the drivers on 2023 Youth Development programme.  The Youth Development Drivers who have been hand selected to work closely with the offroad manufacturers 3 World Champions, David Ronnefalk, Robert Batlle and Jared Tebo are Swedish racer Nils Gustafsson, American Trent Walker, Spain’s Iker Tellez and Australian Jak Parsey.  These young guns will benefit from Mayako trio of factory drivers more than 50 years combined experience of racing at the pinnacle of our sport.  The programme will share that knowledge and show that aside from results, consistency and having fun is the key to success.

Batlle joins Mayako as Director of Motorsports

Mayako has announced former World Champion Robert Batlle as the brand’s Director of Motorsports. Having announced his departure from Mugen last week after 12-years with the Japanese brand, the popular Spaniard now takes up a new role at the 1:8 Buggy class newcomers to join fellow World Champion David Ronnefalk.  On announcing the much expected arrival of Batlle, they said, “Mayako would like to welcome World Champion Robert Batlle to the brand as the Director of Motorsports.  Robert is passionate about Scale Motorsports, and driven to ensure Mayako succeeds in giving racers the best experience possible.  He is going to work with the factory, our Service Centres and drivers from around the world to ensure the community being built will be as successful and beneficial to all as possible.  We probably have the fastest company director in the business”!
