JConcepts Associated front axles for 12mm hex

JConcepts Associated front axles for 12mm hex

One of the best upgrades you can make to the Team Associated line of vehicles is a conversion to 12mm hex wheels. JConcepts has been on top of this conversion since its introduction with hex adapters and Mono wheels. A critical point of the conversion revolves around the front axle and surrounding geometry. Within the steering block the space is very tight and especially between the 2 front bearings where the front axles rests between the bearing bores in 1 plane and the king pin in the perpendicular plane. The JConcepts front axle design is based around high-grade titanium construction, an outer bearing crush step and an inner 4-40 locknut for security. The design eliminates c-clips, screws and other items which are hard to detect of issues which limit performance. Available or the B4.2, T4.2 and SC10, this free spinning design includes axles, 4-40 mini lock-nuts, thin axle shims, decal and assembly instructions.

Smokem Racing T4MX chassis

Smokem Racing T4MX chassis

The team at Smokem Racing has released the latest version of their MX-series chassis, this time for the Xray T4 electric touring car. Like all Smokem Racing’s MX-series chassis, the 2.25mm thick Smokem T4MX features distinctive curved shoulders that enhance the flex characteristics of the chassis compared to the stock Xray design. As a result, the T4MX delivers superior chassis response during quick direction changes and turn-in, while maintaining excellent stability. The added flex also widens the tuning window in your T4, allowing your car to be easily dialed-in over a wider range of temperature and track conditions. And in response to racers’ feedback, the T4MX also incorporates an enlarged pinion gear access hole to make pinion changes a breeze.

Schumacher CAT K1 FAB system

New from Schumacher for the CAT K1 is this FAB (Front Adjustable Braking) system. It allows you to adjust the amount of braking to the front wheels via the pressure pads controlled by tightening the external side nut. Fully tight the car operates full time four wheel braking, as per standard kit specification, while fully backed off acts like a one way layshaft. Adjustment allows proportional control of front braking allowing you to tune the cars handling to all circuits and driving styles. On the opposite side is the CAT K1 vented slipper clutch.
