It improves heat dissipation from the bearings compared to the original plastic bearing carrier. Avid have released their new Triad slipper clutch, a compact 3 plate clutch that provides smoother throttle response, more torque capacity and lighter weight than current 2 plate slipper clutches. This project has been in development for 7 months and we are very pleased with the final result. At this weeks ROAR Super Nationals, the Triad slipper clutch won 2 titles in 17.5 Racing Truck and 17.5 4wd Buggy at the hands of Nolan Anderson and Zack Genova as well as competed in the Modified A-Mains with Ty Tessman and Jesse Robbers.
