Xray RX8 brass chassis balancing weights

More precision-machined brass chassis balancing weights from Xray, this time designed for their RX8 chassis. Mounted in the front and rear weight integration holes, they come marked with the weight value for easy identification. The front 60g weight can be mounted either fixed or flexible to avoid undesired stiffening effect and you can also add an additional 20g to top of this weight or the other graphite insert. At the rear there is a 20g and 40g weight, only one of which can be mounted at a time.

Akula Racing A8 Evo option parts

Akula Racing have announced a range of carbon fibre option parts for the Agama A8 Evo. Designed and manufactured in the UK, the range comprises front and rear shock towers and a centre diff brace. These have been through extensive performance and durability testing, with the final production parts being run at Neo11 with no reported breakages. The front and rear shock towers are made from 5mm thick carbon fibre. Lighter than the standard towers helping to lower the centre of gravity, the standard geometry for the shock and camber link locations is retained with additional lower shock and camber link locations added. These give more tuning options and are especially suitable for low traction tracks where they should provide grip than the standard locations. The centre diff brace is made from 3mm carbon fibre, saving weight over the standard part and increasing the stiffness of the centre diff and brake assembly. Xray RX8 XCA Composite 2-Speed gears

Xray have announced their precision-molded spur gears made from a special composite material that gives long life, minimal wear and minimizing breakage and stripping. Strategically lightened to reduce rotating mass, the special composite material will withstand even the most extreme racing conditions which imparts high tension and shear forces on the spur gears. The spur gears are injected in a specially-constructed mold which ensures equal material injection for ultra-true and wobble-free running of the spur gear. Each gear is stamped with a tooth number for easy identification and are available in 45T, 46T & 47T 2nd gears and 48T, 49T & 50T 1st gears.

Associated RC8B upgrade parts

Based on the parts used by Associated’s team drivers at Motorama, CRCRC Winter Midwest Nitro Champs and the IFMAR 1:8 Worlds in Thailand, these new team-tested and raced parts are now available to everyone and will substantially improve the performance of your RC8B. The new parts include a +3mm chassis, light front and rear outdrive, upgraded front and rear arms, a new lower B Plate with inserts, upgraded front and rear shock towers and aluminium steering posts. Available separately, there is a kit available that includes all the wishbones, shock towers, straight eyelets and fasteners. There is also an update rear swaybar kit for use with the updated rear lower suspension arms, that includes 2.5, 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8mm wires, as well as all mounting parts. Available in June.

Serpent 966 lightweight front wheel axles

Serpent have announced these new super lightweight front wheel axles for the Serpent 960 / 966. CNC machined from aerospace quality aluminium and hard coated, they offer a perfect bearing fit, while the material means they are 70% lighter than the steel versions.

Serpent S966 & S733 hard anodized chassis plates

Serpent have introduced new chassis plates for their S966 and S733 cars. Hard anodized, both chassis plates have been CNC machined from 7075 T6 aluminium, with the 1/10th version made from 3mm thick material. Both feature the standard countersunk holes, chamfered edges, knife-edge pocket under the engine for extra cooling and in the case of the 1/8th version, recessed pockets for flex-plates.

Xray XII / X10 Link gold & black spring

Xray have released two new shock spring for the XII or X10 Link central shock absorber. Available in gold and black, the former medium hardness spring increases stability and ease of driving on medium-to-high and improves initial steering. The latter stiff spring increases stability and ease of driving on high-grip tracks, improving initial steering.
