Shepherd Velox V8 servo saver

Shepherd have announced the release of this aluminium servo saver for the Velox V8. The blue anodized parts are CNC-machined from high-grade 7075 T6 aluminium. Designed to survive even hard crashes on US-style tracks with boards, it still perfectly protects the steering servo from being damaged. Like the standard one the optional servo saver is adjustable in its length by only one screw.

New from Shepherd for their Velox V10 come a number of new optional parts. First up is the new CNC-machined brass battery tray that allows you to increase the weight in the best possible position, in the center of the chassis plate. Weighing 41g the perfectly balanced battery tray lowers the center of gravity significantly and improves the handling of the V10 especially on high traction tracks. The new wide front bumper allows the use for Lola type bodies for the Velox V10 and additionally is said increases steering in fast corners because of improved aerodynamics. New soft black springs increase the possibilities to fine-tune the V10 to specific track conditions. And finally especially for the front differential of the V10 many racers requested harder silicone diff oils and so now there is 200.000cSt, 250.000cSt and 300.000cSt.

Specially hard coated in a tough black anodising to suit the EU Edition of the Losi 8 2.0, these CNC machined 7075 Aero grade aluminium CVD axles massively reduce rotating mass in the drive train of your vehicle, giving quicker spool up, reduced braking time and sharper handling. The Answer-RC CVD axles have been specially machined with additional CVD pin holes meaning that as the fit becomes sloppy they can simply be rotated round to the next set of holes.

New from Litemodz is their Pro and Pro X CVAs available for the Schumacher Mi4LP, Team Associated TC5, Tamiya 416X, Xray T3, Corally PHI, Yokomo BD5 and T.O.P Photon. The Pro Edition CVA’s feature hard anodized black driveshafts and lightened high tensile steel axles. Developed as an upgrade offering super high strength, the high tensile steel axle has been centre bored to reduce overall weight and so a complete set of driveshafts weighs in at 14 grams a pair. The Pro X Edition CVAs feature hard anodized black driveshafts and axles and are a super light upgrade offering maximum performance through the reduction in weight. X Factory X-6 Squared saddle pack chassis

X Factory have released a new chassis for the X-6 Squared that is CNC machined to accept saddle LiPo packs. Development work was done by U.K. National Champion Ellis Stafford, and The Big E used the first saddle chassis to win the last National at Eden Park Raceway. When the X-6 was designed in 2005, LiPos were new and around 3000mAh and were quite light compared to cells. However, almost all drivers then used cells, and the X-6 was primarily designed to use a 4+2 cell arrangement. With the mid motor design, this arrangement concentrated the car’s weight in the center just ahead of the rear wheels. When the early LiPos were used, they were so light that a bit of extra weight to the side made little difference. Now with 5000 and even 6000mAh LiPos, there is more weight and so the new saddle pack chassis returns to the concentrated mass concept of the original. The car rolls less in corners and is more balanced in bumpy sections without use of a sway bar.
