Fastrax have released their own LiPo charge bag. Manufactured from ‘greener’ state-of-the-art Dupont Nomex & Kevlar, this flexible fire-resistant material is more pliable than many on the market making it more suitable to a variety of battery sizes. Supplied in black, with blue trimming, the bag will protect yourself and your equipment from a potential LiPo battery fire and is a required piece of equipment for many governing bodies.

Xray Active Center Differential bevel gears

New for their active center differential, Xray have released large bevel gears in 43T, 42T & 41T which have been machined from special Hudy steel material that has been specially developed for gear-type products. They have been additionally hardened and precision ground to fit the tightest tolerance requirements for perfect fit with the diff outdrives. The gears are individually machined on a precision German gear machine and every gear is individually tested, inspected, and run in. The diff gear is then laser engraved with for easy and instant recognition. Their special heat treatment makes the gear very hard and strong not only on the surface but also in the core, thus give the gear an extraordinarily-long lifespan with very low wear comparing to standard gears.

Xray Lightweight Centre Diff Outdrive adapters

Xray now offers lightweight CNC-machined centre diff outdrive adapters. Made from Hudy toughened steel, the outdrives have been strategically machined to be lighter than the standard outdrive adapters. CNC-machined on precision German long-turn machines they have been additionally ground and strategically lightened to reduce rotating weight, then further hardened to ensure maximum strength and extra-long lifespan. Final precision hand-grinding ensures a very high tolerance and a tight fit in the diff body and diff gear.

LRP BEC, Engine Monoblock & Starter box

LRP Heavy Duty BEC & S8 One-piece Engine mount

Three releases that we skipped over earlier in the week from LRP are a new heavy duty BEC, one-piece aluminium engine mount and new competition starter box. The BEC is a new extremely strong voltage regulator for use with LiPo receiver batteries in nitro models and works perfectly with heavy cars and powerful servos, such as those found in 1/5th – 1/8th scale models. The new one-piece blue anodized aluminium motor mount for the S8-BX and S8-TX stiffens up the chassis around the engine and of course enables a quick engine removal and remounting. Finally, similar to the one released by Nosram on Friday, LRP have also released their new Spec.2 compact and lightweight starter box that has a new higher positioned starter wheel for more precise car positioning and faster starts.

Picco P-Zero MRX-4 Transmission kit

Italian company Picco, most famous for their engines, have started a new line of optionals called ‘P-Zero optional parts’. Their first product is this lightweight transmission kit for the Mugen MRX-4 1/8th scale, the same car company head Alberto Picco used to win the recent Worlds warm up race. The set, which can also be used with the Kyosho M3 (apart from the solid rear axle), includes the front and rear axles, 4 wheel nuts, 2 front drive cups, the rear solid axle and a set of 8 shims. All parts are made with high quality material and accurately machined to ensure the best match with the current drive shafts. The P-Zero line will also soon include a 1/8th scale on-road clutch, but more details to come on that later.

CRC Gen-X top plate & Truer adapter

CRC have released some new items starting with this top plate for the Gen-X 12 and 10. Made from 4mm carbon fibre, this optional top plate is super rugged and is more resistant to breaking than the standard version, something that is necessary thanks to super hot motors. Supplied with 3 longer screws for mounting to the motor plate and the centre standoff. CRC have also introduced their True-all tire truer adapter, suitable for 12th, 10th, & TC. Fitting most automatic tire truers from manufacturers like Hudy, Integy, Ofna, GQ, and more, it features a steel threaded stud that will last much longer than some of the competition’s aluminium threads and the threads are even replaceable. Finally the company has released ceramic engine and clutch bearings, which they claim are far superior to the regular steel pieces that come with the engine. More RPM capability than the steel counterparts and the ceramic balls reduce rotating mass and friction.

Xray have introduced this unique active center differential, which is a high-performance, adjustable center gear differential for XB808 buggies, vastly improving the buggy’s speed and handling characteristics. The special design of the internal components, using different angled segments, allows the diff gears to engage on-power to increase the forward traction and stability of the buggy, making it faster and easier to drive. Developed for improving steering for high traction off-road tracks, it must be used with the previously released front active differential.
