Schumacher have released a number of new competition items, starting with their new XVS Team Select cells. Using Ener-G 4600mAh cells as the base, these matched packs are said combine high performance with robust construction, and are available in sets of 4, 5 & 6. For the Mi3 platform is a new rear shock bracket, which has wider mounted body posts to provide a better mounting platform for the body, making the whole car more stable. Also new for the Mi3, and also for the Mi2 platform, are new 4 degree C-hubs that have been molded from a more flexible polymer to give more steering and better impact absorption. Finally for the Mi3 is a new 66T 48P spur gear for an additional gear ratio tuning option.

Kyosho have announced the release of an optional TCD (Traction Control Differential) gear set for the Inferno MP9. The TCD gear set is designed to provide more balanced power delivery under acceleration by reducing differential action. Each of the TCD components are designed to create more friction when power is applied, which effectively increases power delivery to the wheels that have the most traction, unlike a standard differential where power is directed towards those that have less traction. An added benefit of the TCD gear set is that, when off power, it allows more differential action than a standard diff, which maximizes traction and steering response in corner entry. The TCD gear set is recommended for high-traction conditions and for tracks that have medium to high-speed, large radius corners. The TCD gear set can be used in the front differential for increased on-power steering; in the center differential for better rotation and acceleration out of tight corners, or in both positions. The gear set is not recommended for use in low-traction conditions.

With Losi pushing full ahead into the brushless 1/8th scale scene, they need to release some additional extras to help with their performance and this 8ight-E aluminium motor heat sink is one such item. It helps to dissipate the heat produced by high-powered electric motors providing lower operating temperatures, by up to 25 to 30 degrees, longer run times and increased motor life. Suitable for 670-sized motors, it installs easily and removes easily for maintenance.
Losi have released a set of aluminum rear hub carriers for the 8ight B and 8ight T 2.0. Machined from high quality aluminum and coated, they replace the plastic kit versions, offering much more strength and rigidity to this area of the car and also making them more resistant to impact. French company Optimized, have released some new parts for the X-Factory X-6. Suitable for use with the 4 gear transmission, these new motor mounting plates are made from a thicker metal and so improves rigidity and reliability of the transmission. They are also available in 4 different colours – blue, black, red & light blue, and so can also help improve the looks of your car too. Hot Bodies have released a whole pile of lightened parts for their World Champion D8 1/8th scale buggy. The list of lightened parts includes shock towers, spur gears, spiral bevel gears, steering posts, brake cams, diff shafts, out drives, diff axles shafts, standoffs and hex hubs. Most of the transmission parts are lightened by machining while the rest have been made from aluminium and then coated for over 50% weight savings compared to the stock parts.
