T-Works NB48 2.0 steel chassis skid protectors

T-Works have announced the release of their new stainless steel chassis skid protector sets for the Tekno RC NB48 2.0 buggy. The skid plates will provide additional chassis protection in the front and rear areas, something that comes in handy especially when running on highly abrasive surfaces or on track with large jumps. The protector plates are made of high-quality stainless steel material for durability and corrosion resistance and they are available as separate front and rear end sets including a pair of skid plates each.

RebellionRC MMCX aluminium main chassis

Coming from RC-Carbonstore’s RebellionRC brand are the new aluminium Crossflex and Solid main chassis plates for the popular Awesomatix A800 MMCX mid motor cars. The patent-pending Alu-Crossflex chassis was developed for the use in medium to high-bite traction conditions with its highly machined design allowing optimised flex characteristics that can be greatly influenced with the use of up to twelve optional brass inserts that not only add up to 47.9g of weight, making it a total of 130.9g including the chassis, in the lowest area of the chassis, but they can also be used to change the overall torsional flex characteristics. The idea was to become able to adjust the weight-balance as well as the flex individually with every insert by using different fixing positions without the need of changing the whole chassis; with a standard chassis being always hard front/rear or soft front/rear, but not hard front/soft rear. When the brass inserts are fixed at a 90 degree angle to the driving direction they almost have no influence to the flex, but if attached using the remaining – cross-positioned – mounting points, the inserts decrease the flex. To make the system work the fixing points for the “hard” setting are 0,3mm lowered to make for a free movement at “flex” setting, and when using the “hard” setting drivers need to insert the included 0,3mm shims to be able to access the desired “hard” flex settings. Both the Crossflex and the standard full face Solid chassis, for high to very high bite conditions and weighing in at 103.5g, are machined from high-quality aluminium, they come black anodised for wear and looks, feature a laser-engraved Rebellion-RC logo and they are of a conical shape, ensuring increased ground clearance and less chassis scrubbing during hard cornering. The chassis and the optional brass weight inserts are available for pre-order now and will ship from the end of October.

Icon RC TC7.2 CF shock towers & alloy spool outdrives

Icon RC have announced the release of new 3mm carbon fibre low profile shock towers as well as v2 aluminium spool outdrives for the Team Associated TC7.2 touring car. Starting with the shock towers, ICON RC 3mm low profile Associated TC 7.2 shock towers, CNC-machined from high-quality 3mm carbon fibre, these shock towers have been designed to achieve the lowest possible centre of gravity and to be used in conjunction with the latest generation of ultra short shocks, like the popular Axon dampers. The new 3mm option allows for more flex with track tests having shown better drivability and more corner speed in high grip conditions such as carpet or black indoor tarmac, with a small lack of steering and agility compared to the 4mm option. The shock tower sets includes a front and a rear shock stay.

STRC Enduro alloy rear chassis brace & hex adapters

Coming from ST Racing Concepts are new aluminium optionals for the Element RC Enduro trail trucks in the form of a heavy duty aluminium rear chassis brace and 6.5mm aluminium hex adapters. The CNC-machined heavy duty rear chassis brace helps eliminate flex in the rear chassis rails allowing the suspension to do the work more effectively. The easy to install upgrade also enhances both looks and performance of the Enduro and it is available in Black, Gun Metal, limited edition Red and Silver anodising. As for the aluminium hex adapters, they help improve the durability over the stock plastic pieces and offer a slight wider stance than the stock hex adapters.

RC Maker BD9 Medius Mid CentraFlex top deck

RC Maker have introduced their new CentraFlex top deck for the Arrowmax Medius Mid conversion on the Yokomo BD9. Tested with some of the fastest Yokomo drivers in the world, RC Maker have developed optimised flex characteristics as seen from their successful Awesomatix CentraFlex. The top deck promises a big improvement in mid-exit and high speed steering while also making the car easier to drive due to the increased rigidity at the front of the top deck. The part also features a 3.5mm hole for use with a BD9 Motor-mount post. This hole is fitted to an optional Awesomatix ST019 special set screw, which allows the top deck to pivot but not flex upwards as a normal set screw would allow. Racers can also use a standard 3mm screw here to lock the top deck down. The upper deck is designed to provide ample clearance for all spur and pinion sizes and it is precision CNC machined in Australia from high quality carbon fibre.

TopRC RX8 wheel axle bearing bushings

Coming from TopRC Special Parts are new CNC-machined wheel axle bearing bushings for the Xray RX8 1/8th on-road kit. Made from a special composite material the bushings were designed to perfectly centre the bearings in order to achieve improved bearing alignment and thus less natural drivetrain drag. In addition the bushings were machined to eliminate excessive radial wheel axle play, resulting in less vibrations and thus a more precise driving feeling. The bushings come in sets of four.
