Axon YD-series Revoshock dampers

Axon have introduced their new Revoshock dampers the Yokomo YD-2 and YD-4 drift cars. The big bore shock absorbers utilise 11.5mm diameter 16-hole shock pistons that run in HVF-coated threaded alloy shock bodies for ultra low friction. The clearance between the piston and shock body is only 0.025mm, ensuring minimal oil blow-by and thus predictable shock performance. New to the Revoshock is a revolutionary piston shaft seal design with the lower cartridge seals being a lot smaller in diameter compared to industry-standard P3 O-rings, which ensures the seals are not being pinched by the shock body which created a floating design that leads to virtually no friction between the seals and the shock shaft. Specially selected inner diameters of the upper S and lower SS-sized O-rings ensure the shocks are still as leak-free as possible while the HVF-coated piston shaft further reduce overall friction. The result is a shock absorber that is able to generate more traction due to being as smooth as possible. Included in the set come the shock bodies, upper and lower caps, spring pre-load collar as well as the piston rods and pistons. The plastic parts, pivot balls and shock springs are not included as these are parts that can be taken from the donor Yokomo shocks.

Tamiya TRF419 adjustable alloy suspension mounts

Tamiya have announced the release of adjustable aluminium suspension mounts for the TRF 419, TA07 and TB-05 chassis cars. Available as solid XB, A and E as well as separate XB, A and E variants, all use composite inserts to fine-tune suspension parameters such as toe angle, tread, roll centre and skid/caster angle. There are three different types of mounts, each with different dimensions. The bushings sprue contains seven pairs of different bushing types, each type with a different hole for the suspension shafts, giving a total of 25 potential shaft offset positions. The XB mounts allow settings between XD and X, the A mounts between XA and C, and the E mounts allow settings between C and G. All six suspension hangers are available as separate sets and they are made of high-quality aluminium and come blue anodised and laser-etched.

RC Maker A800X MMCX floating electronic plate set

Coming from RC Maker and made for the Awesomatix A800X MMCX mid motor touring car is the new adjustable floating electronic plate set. Long awaited by several Awesomatix enthusiasts and extensively tested and refined for the MMCX, the plate adds valuable weight and balance to the car. The degree of weight required varies depending on the size and weight of the battery. This is why the designers have created the next generation of the AFEP, which not only moves side to side for balance, but that can have additional plates stacked on top to increase weight. As well as this, RC Maker have included two centre weight options in the kit, 5g and 15g which can be installed depending on the required overall weight. The key feature of this plate is its floating capability. The plate sits 0.5mm above the chassis and allows the main plate to flex underneath. Only mounting from a single central screw, it also makes changing chassis extremely easy, without having to remove any double sided tape. The set is a direct fit to the MMCX chassis and an additional 8g stick-on plate is available separately.
