RSD TC7.2 aluminium flex chassis

Reflex Racing have introduced the new RSD hard-anodised aluminium flex chassis for the Team Associated TC7.2 touring car. The chassis was developed to be used in conditions of high grip asphalt, hHot weather and low to medium bite carpet. The shape and design of the cut outs on the chassis allow it to flex considerably more than Team Associated’s alloy chassis along the centre and bulkheads and the hard anodising prevent the chassis from bending too easily. When used with the RSD Spec top deck the TC7.2 will flex even further than with the stock unit and make this chassis a viable alternative to carbon on asphalt under almost all conditions. The main plate is made in the USA from premium Thyssenkrupp alloys and locally anodised.

RC-Cox T4 adjustable battery mount

Made for Xray’s T4 touring car platform is RC-Cox’s new adjustable battery mount. Constructed from carbon fibre and black anodised aluminium, the battery mount allows to shift the battery pack forth and back as well as left and right in order to achieve a proper weight distribution with both low and high weight LiPo battery packs. Carbon fibre tabs locate the battery, doing away with the need to use fibre-reinforced tape and allowing the battery to slightly float which does away with unwanted chassis tweak. The set is usable with the 2016 to 2019 variants of the T4.

Hudy 5g & 10g pure Tungsten weights

Hudy have introduced their all-new pure tungsten balancing weights. Made from rare pure Tungsten material, known for its very high density and thus heavy weight, the 5g and 10g weights are a lot smaller than conventional brass or steel balance weights, allowing for easier placement and a cleaner layout. The super small weights also make for lower centre of gravity thanks to their low-profile design. The weights are available separately in 5g and 10g specification.

R246 MR03W MML & MR03 RM alloy motor mounts

Kyosho have introduced two new RC Planning R246 aluminium motor mounts for the MR03W and MR03 RM Mini-Z cars. First up is the MML low motor mount for the MR03W MM-type 98mm wheelbase cars. The motor pod allows for axle ride height and fine gear mesh adjustments and it requires additional parts such as the MML roll damper/oil damper set, 2mm narrower rear wheels and the LM differential shaft. Includes in the set come the hybrid aluminum and carbon fibre rear power pod, rear axle inserts as well as an aluminium motor mount.

RPM Traxxas UDR front lower A-arms

Coming from RPM is a set of front lower A-arms for the Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer truck. The A-arms are redesigned from the ground up with one goal in mind – making them tougher and building a completely new, original, one-piece A-arm designed with the UDR’s needs in mind. The designers beefed up the support arms in the direction of suspension travel and changed the angle of the A-arm at the pivot ball to improve clearance at the axle carrier. The updated design also counters the fact that the stock arms actually contact the steering bellcrank at full suspension compression and with the wheels turned. Extra clearance on the new parts means less chance of a bottomed-out suspension breaking the bellcrank. Other improvements include slop reduction for improved precision. The arms replace the Traxxas #8532 and #8533 arms and they come in pairs.

MIP Bypass1 1/8th AE & TLR shock pistons

MIP’s popular Bypass1 1/8th scale off-road shock pistons are soon also available in dedicated variants for Team Associated and TLR 1/8th off-road kits. Just like MIP’s Mugen-specific Bypass1 pistons, the AE and TLR spec pistons are fully customisable and allow to truly control the car’s rebound speed and performance. The pistons are also dyno-tuned to ensure they match the compression characteristics of the stock pistons. Featuring MIP colour-coded valves, the pistons combined together with the valves allow fully to control and maximise the car’s shocks performance based on which valves used. Thicker valves generate a slower rebound and thinner vales get quicker rebounds. Each set includes four pistons and a total of twelve valves, four of each hardness.

Kyosho Fazer Mk2 aluminium shock set

Coming for Kyosho’s Fazer Mk2 intermediate-level touring car chassis is an aluminium shock absorber set. Replacing the standard plastic dampers the shock set includes machined threaded body shock absorbers for improved dampening and thus better traction and easier and more precise ride height adjustment. Included with the set comes a pair of colour-coded springs. The latter are also part of an optional spring set that includes standard hardness medium as well as soft and super soft springs, allowing to adapt the chassis to lower grip tracks. The springs in this set are also usable with the standard composite shocks.
