RC Maker touring car floating electronics plates

RC Maker have introduced their new adjustable electronics mounting plates for most of today’s 1/10th electric touring cars. The floating brass mount with central attachment allows for fully floating electronics with absolutely minimal flex interference, giving symmetrical flex, which is not possible in conventional layouts. The plates make it incredibly easy to swap chassis plates, as electronics stay fixed to the plate, making it only two screws to swap all electronics over, without messing with tape. The unique design is making it very easy to swap between chassis manufacturers and try different plates all without having to buy entire new kits while offering left-to-right chassis balance adjustment. Different fastening inserts allow for even greater versatility without the need to buy a whole new set again. Same with changing to different plates and centre weights, they are all compatible with each-other. Beside the double-sided design, RC Maker also offers a single sided set with 4mm of adjustability left and right to adjust the balance bias of the car. Used for the electronics only it allows to tune the chassis balance, and also move weight in or out both sides to adjust the amount of roll in the chassis depending on the traction level. In addition to the brass double and single-sided sets, RC Maker also offer the brass plates separately to conversion double into single and single into double-sided designs. Optional carbon fibre option plates make for reduced overall mass if needed while an optional +10g centre weight adds further weight tuning options. Supported cars include the Yokomo BD8 and BD9, Xray T4 2017 to 2019, Team Associated TC7.1 and TC7.2, Tamiya TRF419X, Awesomatix A800X, Infinity IF14, Xpress XQ1, Mugen MTC1 and ARC R11’19.

MIP Demon G2/G1R front R-CVD driveline kit

Coming from MIP and made for the Cross RC Demon G2, and G1R updated vehicles, is the R-CVD driveline kit. Made of alloy steel, the fully US-made kit it designed to deliver top performance and longer lasting parts. The kit allows to turn the tyres to a true to 46 Degree angle with no binding; resulting in top performance and reliability thanks to utilising a unique mechanical stop between the axle and bone where they will bottom out before the cross pin, safeguarding the cross pin from breakage leading to a longer lasting parts. The upgrade kit fits any Cross RC Demon with a G2 or G1R axle upgrade and does not require any type of modification. This kit also utilises MIP HD driveline couplings, allowing for easy rebuilds.

Awesomatix roll out new A800 optionals

Coming from Awesomatix are three new option parts for the A800 series of touring cars. First up is the C01B-XAH2LA 2.0mm aluminium chassis that offers additional holes for the +8mm and +9mm arms. Machined from high-quality 7075-T6 material the chassis also sports updated cutouts to offer increased response and a better steering feeling while upping higher corner speeds at the same time. Next up are the AM19-2US mounts that offer the exact same geometry as the AM19-2 parts. However they are machined from 3mm 7075-T6 alloy, meaning they are 0.5mm thicker than the AM19-2. To keep the same roll centre settings, owners need to run 0.5mm thinner shims under ST24 ball studs. Last but not least come the AM06WL-US uprights. They mimic the AM06WL parts but lack the flex cut out, making them more durable. Generally with all of the new “US” parts, these are recommended for the use on US-style tracks with hard boards and barriers as they add a bit of durability on the expense of a slightly higher weight.

Redcat Gen7 portal axle kit

German Redcat distributor Absima has introduced a new Gen7 portal axle kit. The set is designed for the Everest Gen7 and features the same portal axles that are installed in the Redcat Gen8 Scout II scale crawler, but includes all the parts needed to easily install portal axles on the Gen7 Sport or Pro vehicles. This kit includes the front and rear portal axle, along with a moulded plastic plate so owners can mount the servo to the Gen7 chassis. The axles utilise Mod 1 steel gears, metal hex hubs and metal gear covers for durability as well as a CNC machined aluminium spool. The kit also includes a slipper clutch upgrade, with gearing change, intended for the Everest Gen7. Because of the additional gear reduction present in the portal axles, without a gearing change, the Everest Gen7’s top speed will be reduced by about 50 percent. This slipper clutch system features a lockout system, for those who decide they don’t want the possibility of their drivetrain slipping, but still want the gearing change.

Exotek EB410 3.4mm HD hinge pin set

Exotek have introduced a set of heavy duty 3.4mm hardened steel inner hinge pins for the Tekno EB410 and ET410 vehicles. The larger centre section helps prevent bent or busted pins while keeping the stock 3mm diameter at the ends in order to fit the stock inserts and while also only slightly enlarging the arm holes to maintain arm strength. The set, that is recommended for experienced hobbyists only, includes four hinge pins and a high speed drill bit to ream the arms to accept the larger hardened hinge pins.
