Answer RC THECar 5mm carbon Ackermann plate

Answer RC have introduced a 5mm carbon fibre steering Ackermann plate for the JQ Racing THECar Black and Grey Edition kits. Designed to replace the standard alloy Ackermann plate, the carbon part features four flanged bearings and is made from 5mm carbon fibre for strength. The aim of this upgrade is to prevent build up of slop in the steering on both the Black Edition and the Grey Edition. Included, beside the plate and bearings, are also two 25mm button head screws to replace the existing countersunk fasteners.

RC Cox introduce new T4 option parts

Coming from RC Cox and made for the Xray T4 are several new option parts. Starting with the Xray specific ones, first up is a front low FF suspension mount with optional brass insert. The low specification mount lowers the front suspension pins which improves the car’s rotation in corners while the 8g add-on brass weight allows to fine-tune the car’s weight balance, making it easier to drive. It easily attaches using a single screw for on-the-fly setup changes.

JConcepts 6.1 motor plate & rear ballstud mount

JConcepts have introduced two new option parts for Team Associated’s 6.1 version off-road kits. First up is a 3-gear laydown/layback motor plate that incorporates a honeycomb milling affect with placement more suited to surrounding geometry making the plate light-weight and very rigid in multiple directions. The honeycomb features add a 3D look featuring the natural aluminium while the rest is available blue or black anodised colours. The motor plate is compatible with the Team Associated B6.1 spur gear guard and remains light of weight. Slight chamfering on the 3mm thickness material allows the rather beefy plate to look quite slim and trim. The plate is usable with the B6.1, B6.1D, T6.1 and SC6.1.

RCLabHK roll out Project 4X Evo CF options

Newly founded brand RCLabHK from Hong Kong have introduced a handful of carbon fibre option parts for the Serpent Project 4X Evo touring car in the form of a bulkhead stiffener and a 3mm battery mount. The bulkhead stiffeners are used to brace the left and right bulkhead in order to improve performance on high-grip carpet and asphalt surfaces as they reinforce the bulkhead area for less overall chassis flex which comes in handy especially in high traction conditions. The 2mm stiffeners come separately and including hardware such as M3x20mm screws and 4x3mm or 4x2mm bushings. Also new are the front and rear battery mounts machined from 3mm carbon fibre. Using the parts will improve battery fixing and thus overall reliability.

Tekno introduce new EB410 optionals

Coming from Tekno for their EB410 1/10th scale 4WD buggy are new universal driveshafts as well as an updated rear shock tower. Starting with the driveshafts, the assemblies are CNC machined from high-quality steel alloy and black oxidised for wear resistance. Extreme working angles are no problem and they are also lightweight as the excess material has been removed without compromising performance or strength. Universal driveshafts excel in rough conditions and can generate additional side bite by providing additional roll in the corners. The suspension is allowed to work more efficiently when compared to the additional mechanical binding in CVAs. This allows the vehicle to absorb bumps better with a reduced risk of “catching a rut” and flipping the car while cornering. For smoother tracks, CVA’s will produce more forward traction and support, but universals are also well suited with slight suspension setup changes such as springs and oil. The basic design of a universal driveshaft means virtually no maintenance is required and dirt and dust won’t foul the operation of the joint. These are ready to drop into the EB410 with the use of additional 8x14x4mm bearings.
