PSM RC8B3 alloy wheel hexes & steering posts

German company PSM have introduced new aluminium option parts for the Team Associated RC8B3 in the form of +1.5mm wheel hex drives and lightweight steering posts. Starting with the wheel hexes, the parts are CNC-machined from 6012-T6 aluminium and they offer an increased offset of 1.5mm for increased track width. A special EV2 coating makes for improved protection while strategically milled section reduce the overall weight. The other new part are the 7075-T6 aluminium steering posts for the RC8B3 buggy and RC8T3 truggy. The posts are of a very light weight while offering extreme rigidity. Like the wheel hex drives the steering posts come EV2 coated for wear and they also include a pair of M4x6mm black steel screws.

Motiv RC have introduced the Defy series thin shorty LiPo battery pack. Built from high-quality +65C cells with a capacity of 3900mAh the lightweight battery gives the capability to lighten up the overall weight of the vehicle and also effect the CG greatly by adding back the weight underneath the battery. It has the capacity to power Stock and Modified Buggies alike and it is 55g lighter than its Motiv RC 5000mAh counterpart.

Xray 50g stainless steel battery weight

Coming from Xray is a 50g stainless steel battery weight for the XB2 and other 2WD buggies. The plate allows to add weight to the lowest point of the chassis, making for an improved and more forgiving handling especially in high-grip and bumpy conditions. The plate comes laser-etched for easy identification, it is placed between the chassis and the battery pack and usable in all vehicles whose battery compartments allow the use side-by-side saddle packs.

HRC Racing 68112DL & 68113DBL low-profile servos

HRC Distribution have introduced two new low profile servos. The HRC Racing 68112DL (0.09s/12.0kg-cm) and the 68113DBL (0.07s/13.0kg-cm) both utilise nylon fibre and aluminium cases, they feature double ball bearings and a sturdy metal gear drivetrains, with the 68113DBL also coming with a powerful brushless motor, making for even swifter transit times and increased torque. The servos are usable with 4.8V to 6.0V input and they use standard 25T spline servo arms.

Bezerk RC YZ4 graphite upper decks & battery hooks

Australian company Bezerk RC have introduced two new optional carbon fibre top decks and a battery hook set for the Yokomo YZ4 buggy. First up are the two optional top decks. Both are made from 2.0mm carbon fibre and for low to medium grip conditions, the Supaflex version is made to allow more flex, resulting in reduced and more consistent lap times. The split design also allows some level of adjustment, like an on-road top deck, more or less screws can be fitted to fine tune the amount of flex.

Coming from Spec-R and made for the Xray T4’16 touring car is a 2.25mm carbon fibre chassis plate. Cut from high-quality carbon fibre the chassis is of a fully symmetrical design with the milled motor pocket also apparent in the battery compartment to make for equal left-to-right flex characteristics. The chassis is a direct replacement for the stock part and available soon.

Maclan Racing MRR competition brushless motors

Maclan Racing have introduced their all-new MRR 540-size sensored competition brushless motors. They are built using pure copper wire and feature a balanced sintered rotor, adjustable timing, a lightweight, vented CNC-machined 6061 all-aluminium can and precision ball bearings. The spec class MRR motor is designed to the maximum tolerance of the rules and the short stack design will produce a lower resistance allowing the highest performance possible. The motors utilise heavy-duty concave-shape soldering taps for easy wiring and they are available in 3.5T to 25.5T variants from March.
