MIP Pucks X-6 Cubed 17.5 drive system

The latest vehicle to receive MIP’s Pucks 17.5 drive system treatment is X-Factory’s X-6 Cubed buggy. The Pucks drive system is an aluminium based drivetrain system which includes aluminium diff outdrives, aluminium C-CVD bones, and replaceable plastic orange wear Pucks that take the place of the standard steel pins. This combination greatly increases the longevity of the drivetrain and most importantly decreases the drivetrain’s overall rotating mass by nearly 50 percent, making it ideal for 17.5T stock racing. The decrease in weight directly results in quicker acceleration, deceleration, and lower motor temps. Included in the X-6 Cubed specific kit are also a ball diff set including a new thrust race and a set of blue thread gel, clear silicone and MIP grease.

Yokomo Europe B-Max2 & B-Max4 chassis decals

Available now from Yokomo Europe are chassis protective decals for the Yokomo B-Max4 III and B-Max2 buggy. The clear decals come printed with black graphics and they are made to prevent the chassis becoming overly scratched on abrasive track surfaces. Included in each package are two pre-cut decals.

Yokomo YZ-PS25A 25 Amp power supply

Yokomo introduce the YZ-PS25A power supply for the use with 100 to 240VAC input. The device offers 12VDC and a maximum of 25A of output current, enough even for very powerful charger and tyre truers. An LC display informs about the current voltage, wattage and temperature while a separate 5V/1A USB port allows you to power your mobile devices. Due to the design of the power supply it can be directly mated with Yokomo’s YZ-110Duo charger with the help of two dual bullet-type connectors, limiting the amount of wires on your pit table for a clean and sleek look. Both the power supply and charger are also available as a combo set from mid-July.

VP Pro 1/10th Mad Runner carpet tyres

VP Pro introduce a new line of 1/10th buggy tyres for the use on ugh grip surfaces such as astro turf, carpet and grass. The Mad Runner is available as 2WD front, 4WD front and 2WD/4WD rear tyre and it makes use of popular and widely used tread patterns, such as a cut-rib design for the 2WD front and small pins for the 4WD front tyre. The Mad Runner will become available by end of August.

New Serpent Spyder & Cobra optionals

Serpent have a range of new option parts for the Spyder and Cobra line of vehicles available. Starting with the Spyder, first up is a 21 teeth top shaft for stock racing classes. The part fits all SRX-2 series buggies and trucks and it is available separately or including an adapter.

Hacker Tensoric8.2 speed controller

Available now from German company Hacker is their latest 1/8th brushless speed controller, the Tensoric8.2. Designed for the use with 2S to 6S LiXX cells, the speedo builds on the experience gained with the Tensoric8 and it features a completely redesigned and more powerful PCB power control board, a newly designed heatsink and a switched high voltage BEC system that allows to choose between 6V or 7.4V output for the use with standard or high-voltage compatible servos. All that is housed in a new fibre-reinforced case with lower aluminium heatsink. Mounting holes in the lower case make it possible to mount the speedo to the chassis or radio tray, doing away with the need to use double-sided tape which results in improved reliability. From stock the ESC comes with a software profile optimised for Hacker Skalar8 brushless motors but with the use of the optional Progbox V1 or V2 the controller can also be adapted to any other brushless motor while allowing to fine-tune the countless software parameters as well.

RPM ECX 2WD oversized front spindle blocks

RPM introduce oversized front spindle blocks for the ECX line of 1/10th 2WD vehicles such as the Torment, Boost, Ruckus and Circuit. They make use of (optional) larger and thus more durable 5x11mm bearings and are made to improve durability and precision compared to the stock spindles thanks to their design and the use of RPM’s nylon material. The parts are a direct swap for the stock spindles and retain the stock geometry of the suspension. All that is needed are four 5x11x4mm ball bearings and you are good to go.

JConcepts 1/8th Dirt-Tech buggy tyre insert

New from JConcepts come the Dirt-Tech tyre insert for 1/8th scale buggies. Designed in conjunction with Brian Kinwald, the insert has medium sized cuts on the outside which touch off against the tyre inner carcass providing a cushy response and feel. The inside has horizontal channels cut in a 360 pattern to soak up the large impacts and help create forward bite and increase acceleration. The newly developed material providing racers a durable option capable of being used in medium to extremely high-traction conditions. The 83mm inserts work with any 1/8th buggy tyre and wheel and they come as 4-piece sets.
