Pro-Line Phantom B44.2 & B5 bodyshells

Pro-Line’s Phantom design bodyshell, originally designed for the Tamiya 201 and Kyosho RB6, soon is also available for the Team Associated B44.2 and B5 buggies. Sculptured using the ideas of Pro-Line driver Lee Martin the bodies sport a unique design featuring a stealthy cab forward look and sweeping body lines that flow back to a single point. The optional centre fin adds additional high speed stability and the bodies are available soon for the B44.2 and B5 rear motor buggy.

WRC STX 2014 conversion kit

Italian company WRC now have this 2014 conversion kit for the ’13 spec touring car available. It includes a new carbon fibre main chassis, updated battery locators, new split-design FR and RF hinge pin mounts as well as updated steering rail mounting brackets.

DMS Partz X-6 Cubed lexan undertray

Now available from DMS Partz comes a clear lexan undertray for the X-Factory X-6 Cubed buggy. Designed to keep dust, dirt and moisture away from the chassis the tray sports cut lines marked for both high and low sidewalls, with multiple location holes added for easy installation.

Powerstar PM-1207LV low-profile servo

Powerstar soon have the PM-1207LV low-profile servo available. Coming in an all-alloy case the standard voltage servo offers a speed of up to 0.074s/60° and a torque of 12kg-cm – both at 6.0V input. The features include a digital circuitry and a brushless motor while the sturdy case design makes it ideal for on-road and off-road applications alike.

Exotek SRX-2 servo mounts & battery strap

Exotek have first option parts for the Serpent SRX-2 buggy available in the form of aluminium servo mounts and a carbon fibre battery strap. First up are the servo mounting brackets, machined from high quality aluminium the parts come in Serpent orange or glossy gun metal finish and replace the stock plastic mounts with a more rigid and cooler looking alternative. Also new is the Flite LiPo battery strap for the rear motor SRX-2. Weighting in at only 4.8g the carbon fibre part is not only over 5g lighter than the stock part but it also gives added clearance allowing to run the battery in a more forward position while mounting the speedo behind the battery for improved balance. The brace is usable with stock or aftermarket thumb screws.

New LRP Competition Car Line hardcase LiPo packs

Available soon from LRP are updated hardcase LiPo batteries packs out of the company’s Competition Car Line series. The range will include a two standard-size 2S 7500mAh and 6000mAh packs, a 5800mAh saddle and a 4700mAh shorty pack. All are made from 110C/55C rated cells and come in blue semi-transparent cases. Also new is a 6600mAh 100C/50C 1S pack for 1/12th applications. The batteries should hit the store shelves soon.

Kyosho MP9 brake disc options

Kyosho’s Yuichi Kanai recently gave an insight into the brake setup options the three available MP9-compatible brake disc types offer. While the standard-type full-face IF468 kit disc offer a mild, easy to control brake, the optional IFW122 SP discs make for improved stopping power. The latter also sport cut-outs for a more efficient cooling during long mains. The latest offering are the IF415 discs you can spot on the left side of the above image. The highly slotted design gives maximum ventilation and brake power.

Speed Passion SP-1 & LM-1 option parts

Speed Passion have new option parts for the SP-1 Formula 1 and the LM-1 GT chassis available. First up is a front wing set that makes use of a composite wing mount and two different size polycarbonate wings. The mount directly fits onto the chassis while the wings are simply mounted using tape or screws. Also new is a low-profile plastic rear wing. The part is of a fixed design and, just like the front wing, fits not only the SP-1 but many other of today’s Formula 1 cars. Last but not least comes a pair of long steering pivot balls. They screw directly in the upper A-arms and are usable with the SP-1 and the LM-1 car.
