Made for the XB4 line of buggies are two new rear wing sets from Xray. Coming as 1.5mm or heavy-duty 2.0mm variant, the wings offer increased durability and lifespan compared to the kit wings. The greater stiffness also improves stability at high speeds making the wings, that come as pairs, ideal for modified class racing.

RCS Graphic Worx have expanded their popular H2-Flo range of water-based paints, with eight exciting new colours added to the range. Bittydesign introduce their new “hard wings” for 190mm touring car bodyshells. Coming in the medium downforce Charge and high downforce Ultra Charge version, both are made from thick 1mm polycarbonate for maximised rigidity and improved downforce even in today’s ultra-fast modified racing. According to Bittydesign both wings are compatible with all 190mm TC bodies on the market and the wings are available now.

Previously 3D printing techniques, or rapid prototyping, was used to built mock-up products too brittle for on-track use but with improving materials 3D printed parts become usable “in action” too. A good example is the Vizion touring car rear wing made by a company called Shapeways. U.S. on-road legend Josh Cyrul introduced the Vizon branded wings to the public with the 190mm TC wing being available as a high and medium downforce version, both greatly improve the overall grip and stability of car. The wing comes white and in a slightly grainy finish and it has to be painted not only to match the body’s colour but also to make for more flexibility and durability as the porous material soaks up the paint. We understand that more Vizon products will surface very soon with several 1/12th scale rims and option parts being in the making.

Duratrax introduce a new range of polycarbonate paints for RC car bodyshells. Specially formulated for best possible adhesion, the paints come in a wide range of colours including standard, fluorescent, candy, metallic, pearl and window tint variants in 0.5oz bottles or 4.5oz spray cans. Also available are 0.5oz and 3.5oz bottles of suitable thinner.

RB introduce their new line of polycarbonate paints coming in 150ml and 400ml cans. Specially designed for RC car bodyshells the paint dries very fast and it comes in nearly 30 different colours including standard, metallic and fluorescent colours.

Pro-Line introduce the Phantom design body for the Team Associated B5M and the Trifecta 1/10th buggy rear wing. Starting with the body whose design elements sport the finger prints of Pro-Line’s Lee Martin who first brought the shape to the Tamiya TRF201 buggy. Now the Phantom is also available for the B5M and while being aggressively shaped for a unique look, the body also sports several performance elements such as a forward-biased cabin, sweeping body lines that flow back to a single point and an optional centre fin that makes for additional high-speed stability. As usual the body comes made from clear polycarbonate and includes window masks and a decal sheet.

Speed Passion have new option parts for the SP-1 Formula 1 and the LM-1 GT chassis available. First up is a front wing set that makes use of a composite wing mount and two different size polycarbonate wings. The mount directly fits onto the chassis while the wings are simply mounted using tape or screws. Also new is a low-profile plastic rear wing. The part is of a fixed design and, just like the front wing, fits not only the SP-1 but many other of today’s Formula 1 cars. Last but not least comes a pair of long steering pivot balls. They screw directly in the upper A-arms and are usable with the SP-1 and the LM-1 car.
