Axial SCX10 II Deadbolt trail truck

Axial’s SCX10 II is soon also available as Deadbolt body shell variant. The vehicle combines the rugged good looks of the Deadbolt with the exceptional handling of the trail-ready SCX10 II chassis, giving drivers a rig that’s got both charisma and competence. The Deadbolt body is now coated with an olive drab paint scheme while keeping the original features such as narrow stance, bulging hood, realistic driver figure and exterior cage complete with light bar. Finalising the look is a licensed CRC front bumper and Method Hole wheels wrapped in Nitto Trail Grappler tires. Underneath the muted-green shell sits the SCX10 II, a reliable chassis that is equipped for extreme trailing – AX10 transmission, single-piece AR44 axles and WB8 HD Wildboar driveshafts.

Yokomo tease new YRX12 pan car kit

Yokomo have released first teaser images and basic information on their forthcoming new YRX12 1/12th scale pan car. Developed with the 2018 IFMAR World Championships in South Africa in mind, the vehicle will be building on the current YRX12, TQ holder at the 2016 Worlds, however the ’18 car will feature a new front end system along with a newly developed aluminium chassis. The design focus was also on fine-tuning the centre pitching damper as well as the front king pin and coil spring area with Yokomo not going into detail for the time being. The kit is set for a release in July and it will be in use at the World Championships in the hands of all-Japan Champion Toto Ebukoro as well as Yoshi and Toshi Yanagisawa to name just a few.

Team C TM2 V3 2WD buggy kit

Available now from Team C is the TM2 V2 2WD off-road buggy kit for racing on high to very high bite surfaces. The vehicle uses a 7075-T6 aluminium chassis with composite side rails, a low centre of gravity motor mount, and a newly designed slipper assembly. Also included are optionals such as a rear swaybar, carbon fibre front and rear shock towers, 12mm big bore shock absorbers and 7075 aluminium rear arm mounts with inserts. The kit is rounded out by a new design body shell.

Tamiya TB-05 Pro touring car kit

Following first information on their forthcoming TB-05 Pro 1/10th scale touring car kit, Tamiya now released more information and also an image of the shaft-driven intermediate-level on-road kit. As expected the car will make use of the exoskeleton design that made the TA-07 Pro and M-07 Concept famous with the chassis looking like the TA-07 Pro but with the drivetrain layout of the TB Evo7 tourer – of which the TB-05 Pro will also adapt the ability for a front or rear motor position. Other features will include TB-04 design gear differential units, ball bearings, universal driveshafts as well as long TRF shocks, TA-07 Pro suspension components, a bulkhead-mounted steering assembly, and blue colour turnbuckles. The kit is compatible with TRF419-style swaybars and wheels and a high-torque servo saver will come standard with the kit.

Tamiya announce TB-05 Pro touring car kit

Tamiya have announced the soon introduction of their new TB-05 Pro 1/10th 4WD touring car kit. The vehicle, that is set for a first public appearance at the forthcoming Shizuoka Hobby Show in May, is understood to be the shaft-driven version of the TA-07 Pro with similarities in terms of chassis construction and suspension while the drivetrain may adapt the TB Evo7-ish convertible transmission with selectable front or rear motor layout. Tamiya Manta Ray 2018 1/10th 4WD buggy kit

Coming soon from Tamiya is the Manta Ray 2018 1/10th scale 4WD buggy kit, a re-release of the popular 1990’s buggy. The kit will make use of the iconic bath tub chassis with honeycomb reinforcements, it will feature a rigid camber link suspension for easy of building and the famous yellow CVA shock absorbers to keeping the wheels on the ground. The front and rear diffs are closed gear-type units and the buggy is topped off by an aerodynamic body and grey dish wheels with pin thread tyres.

HB Racing D418 4WD buggy – Teaser images

HB Racing have released first production kit images of their forthcoming D418 1/10th 4WD competition buggy. No additional information, beside what is already known, was given and so it is understood that the buggy will utilise the proven, however slightly updated, D4 series front and rear suspension elements that couple to a newly developed aluminium main chassis plate with updated weight distribution thanks to a front mounted shorty battery, a centre motor position and a more reward-facing centre bulkhead.
