Traxxas introduce new E-Revo VXL monster truck

Traxxas’ popular E-Revo monster truck has received a massive overhaul with the 2018 edition being considered faster and stronger than ever before. The truck builds on an innovative low centre of gravity chassis with major components such as batteries being placed as low and close to the centreline as possible. Key areas were targeted for added strength and rigidity, such as the battery compartments and bulkhead mounts while new front and rear top braces resist flex and further protect the inboard shocks. Upgraded front and rear differentials with massively larger ring and pinion gears use over twice as much steel for extreme durability while heavy weight oil gives them the performance feel of limited slip differentials. The steel drive cups fit over 8mm hardened steel output shafts which ride on oversized sealed bearings.

Infinity IF18 1/8th nitro on-road kit

Based on Infinity’s 2017 World Championship winning 1/8th nitro on-road platform comes the new IF18. An evolution of that winning package the car features a number of significant updates including completely new front and rear 7075 aluminium bulkhead designs that allow for easier access to the drivetrain components. Giving the car a new suspension geometry in combination with longer suspension arms for improved stability, the design has taken into account ease of access to drastically improve the ability to carry out maintenance. The geometry is fully adjustable using bushings and spacers included as part of the kit. Three Ackermann positions are available and all moulded parts are produced from a special composite compound to ensure the best performance without compromising durability. Front stabiliser is a piano-wire type operating through bearings that now feature a new plastic bushing to reduce wear.

Team Associated tease possible B6.1 2WD buggy

Team Associated have release a first teaser image of what could be the follow-up model to the popular B6 platform. With 2017 being an IFMAR 1/10th Buggy World Championship year many have already awaited a first vital sign of a B6.1 or even a B7 and now AE have started to unveil the latest incarnation of the legendary RC10 platform step by step as they did with the previous platforms. While the front end of the new buggy remains unchanged, Team Associated hint on a larger rear end revamp, stating “We love the front end of the B6, refined, simple, and incredibly adjustable, but for the rear end, we had some big plans! Some even questioned whether it could be done…so the engineers within #Area51 got to work. The result: Easier to work on Increased adjustability (more on this later) More consistent feel on track and MORE!”. The eagle-eyed of us would get a first taste of the changes to come when looking at Dustin Evans’ Reedy Race winning B6 that was equipped with new rear A-arms that feature inserts to adjust the lower shock angle. We bring you more updates on the buggy as soon as they become available.
