Mugen reveal more MBX8 details

Following a first series of images, Mugen have revealed more details of the new MBX8 1/8th nitro buggy kit. The follow-up model of the ultra-successful MBX7 will feature new front and rear suspension mounts as well as updated front and rear gearboxes that allow to extract the gear differentials without detaching the suspension arms. The latter are of an updated design and made from a more resistant composite material. They are also box-shaped and include arm stiffeners to reduce flex and further increase durability. Optional carbon fibre plates will further enhance the ability to adjust their overall flex.

Xray GTXE 1/8th electric GT kit

Xray have introduced their new GTXE 1/8th electric GT kit as addition to the already released GTX nitro GT car. The car is based off of Xray’s ultra-successful XB8 buggy platform and utilises most of the nitro variant’s parts with the base building the 3mm 7075-T6 aluminium chassis that is strategically lightened for a low overall weight while being very durable at the same time. The chassis was specifically designed for the electric variant in order to provide optimised chassis flex, weight balance and a clean overall design.

Axial SCX10 II Trail Honcho RTR truck

Based off of the SCX10 II trail truck chassis is Axial’s new Trail Honcho 4WD RTR truck. The factory assembled vehicle comes equipped with the AX10 transmission, single-piece AR44 axles, Method Hole wheels, Falken Wildpeak M/T tyres and a set of four LED lights. A 35T brushed motor is part of the package as is the AE-5L speed controller, the water resistant TSX45 servo and a 3-receiver and 2-channel TTX200 SLT radio. The set is rounded out by a pick-up body shell with rear roll cage.

Yokomo YD-2SX RWD drift car kit

Yokomo have introduced the YD-2SX, a full option kit based on the YD-2S chassis family. The car utilises a carbon fibre chassis with an aluminium front bulkhead, and a high motor mount allows to adjust the weight balance by offering seven different mounting positions. The suspension received an update by adding toe inserts for the suspension mounts and an updated steering assembly with press-fit ball races ensures maximum car control. The kit is rounded out by aluminium gear differential outdrives, plastic blade-protected driveshafts, and it will hit stores from end of December.

Mugen uncover MBX8 1/8th nitro off-road buggy

Following a first teaser image Mugen have revealed first images and information on the forthcoming MBX8 nitro off-road buggy. Successor of the World and European Championship winning MBX7 platform, the MBX8 chassis features a new design that improves traction and stability in bumpy conditions and on the exit of corners. The steering post are also keyed into the chassis for easier maintenance.

Destiny RX-10SR competition touring car kit

Destiny have introduced the new SR version of the Reedy Race winning RX-10S 1/10th 4WD electric touring car kit. The car makes use of a 2.25mm USA high-grade carbon fibre chassis and it received some subtle updates such as front and rear aluminium suspension mount whose composite inserts allow to fine-tune the suspension toe angle in 0.3 degree increments. In addition different width suspension mounts make for a wide 40.7mm to 49.5mm track width adjustment window.

Xray XB8 2018 1/8th nitro off-road kit

Xray have introduced the 2018 variant of their successful, EFRA Euros winning XB8 1/8th nitro off-road buggy. The kit has received larger updates with the 2018 variant being based on a new aluminium chassis that is usable on both the nitro and electric platform, meaning by simply swapping the engine compartment and radio tray the buggy can be converted from nitro to electric in no time. The chassis also received a new shape which leads to improved front tyre clearance.

Team Magic J-Star 6S RTR monster truck

Team Magic have introduced another electric ready-to-run monster truck based off of the popular E6 platform with the new J-Star 6S truck. The vehicle comes factory assembled and including a waterproof Hobbywing 150A speed controller, a 2250kV 6S LiPo-compatible brushless motor as well as a waterproof Savöx metal gear steering servo and a truck bodyshell equipped with a LED light bar. The chassis is equipped with new generation front and rear differentials, a metal centre diff and hardened steel universal driveshafts.
