Serpent have announced the forthcoming release of the Cobra SRX8 Evo 1/8th nitro off-road buggy. Not much is known yet but subtle changes in the chassis, drivetrain and suspension areas be awaited. Full details and images will become available next week.

Traxxas’ poplar 1/10th Rally ready-to-run car received a small update with the introduction of the Fiesta ST body shell. The car rocks a full-time 4WD low centre of gravity chassis with heavy duty gear differentials, oil-filled Ultra Shocks, long travel suspension and a powerful Titan 550-size brushed motor. Also included in the package are waterproof electronics for go-everywhere capabilities, as well as a 2.4GHz radio system for glitch-free operation. In the front the Fiesta ST body is mounted to the new high approach front bumper that gives increased ground clearance while grippy all terrain tyres help to take all sorts of tracks, from tarmac racing to backyard bashing. The kit is rounded out by an officially licensed Ford Fiesta ST body shell that sports a flashy paint job and a durable moulded rear wing.

Serpent have announced the soon release of the all-new Viper 988 1/8th nitro on-road car. The car made its debut at the second round of the ENS, held in Ettlingen back in July, and it will become available in time for the 2017 IFMAR World Championships in France. Some parts such as fuel tank, transmission, radiobox and more have been taken over from the successful 977 but the new car is a complete redesign in most areas. Kyosho fans rejoice! The Japanese company has released two teaser videos to promote the forthcoming release of two vintage kits one of which seems to be the mighty Javelin – one of the most expensive vintage kits to buy these days. The first video pretty much tells it all as Kyosho aficionados will spot the buggy’s iconic cage while the second clip teases the release of a monster truck-ish type of vehicle. We bring you more information on the two as they surface.

Xray have revamped their popular X10 1/10th 200mm pan car kit with the 2018 variant sporting a range of updates and improvements. The ’18 specification kit utilises many of the design features previously known from the X12 series of cars with the vehicle using an all-new carbon fibre chassis with increased torsional stiffness and optional mounting positions for the side links. The 2.5mm “shorty battery only” chassis cut from “carpet-spec” carbon fibre allows for straight and angled link positions with the latter improving in-corner steering.
Tekno RC have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming all-new EB410 1/10th 4WD buggy kit. A first for the company, the vehicle is set to showcase some unique features, an exclusive chassis layout and a pretty uncommon front end geometry. The buggy is set for a late-September release and Tekno will shorten the time until then with some in-depth features that delve into the design features and philosophy.

JQRacing have briefly introduced their forthcoming Grey Edition eCar 1/8th electric buggy kit. The vehicles utilises the Black Edition front and rear assemblies attached to the White Edition eCar chassis. The only different on the chassis is the stronger front centre dogbone, thicker than the original steel dogbone. The kit is set for a release by the end of the month and available for pre-order now.
Xray have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming X10’18 200mm pan car kit. No details are available yet but we expecting them to surface right in time for the release.
