Team Associated RC12R6 Factory Team 1/12th scale kit

Team Associated have introduced their next generation 1/12th scale pan car chassis, the RC12R6 Factory Team Kit. Designed for today’s demanding top-level racing, speed and traction, the design focusses on factors such as a low centre of mass, chassis rigidity, and a precise build. The kit utilises a precision front arm assembly utilising graphite lower control arms, a symmetric 7075-T6 aluminium chassis and lower pod plate, ultra-smooth centre pivot, and optimised graphite rear axle position. Includes are also a centre Fox shock genuine Kashima coat, a raised front bumper for extra ground clearance on the front of the chassis as well as a floating servo mount for equal flex of the chassis. Lastly the battery stops allow to mount the battery in three different transverse positions to fine-tune mass balance.

Yokomo BD8SV Stock touring car kit

Coming soon from Yokomo is the BD8SV Stock touring car kit that is aimed especially at stock class racing. Based off of the popular BD8 the SV kit will feature larger 40T diff pulleys for increased drivetrain efficiency and optimised chassis roll balance. Also included is the PCS Pitch Control System that improves chassis stability at high speeds and during cornering while a milder steering response makes it easier to carry the momentum through corners without sacrificing overall steering emphasis. The BD8SV comes as full kit from the end of June with a conversion set for current BD8 owners being available in the near future.

Xray XB8E 2017 1/8th electric buggy kit

Xray have introduced the 2017 variant of their popular XB8E platform. The buggy makes use of a lot of updates already part of the nitro XB8, such as redesigned, larger volume front, centre and rear differentials for improved performance and consistency during longer runs, trailing axle front steering spindles increase traction and handling while the improved Ackermann geometry and graphite material servo saver optimise the buggy’s steering response. Other changes in the steering compartment include a composite front upper deck, redesigned steering pivot balls do away with unwanted wheel locking and narrow profile front steering arms move the front wheels forward for better jump take off and landing. The package is rounded out by longer rear suspension arms and shorter suspension mounts for an updated rear end geometry that will help generate more traction and make for improved handling characteristics.

HB Racing D817T 1/8th nitro truggy kit

Back in April HB Racing have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming D817T nitro truggy kit and now full information are available. The vehicle builds on the IFMAR World Championship winning D817 buggy and comes with a tough 7075 aircraft aluminium chassis. Its symmetrical design makes for better balance and more consistent jumping and cornering while strategically machined areas decrease weight and balance the flex characteristics. A one-piece CNC engine mount holds the engine in place on the 7075 alloy chassis. A complete competition 3-shoe clutch is included, along with sintered brake pads and double ground brake discs for fade free braking and consistent brake feel and a convenient, covered electronics box allows easy removal for cleaning and maintenance, and easy access to servos.

WRC NTX 1.1 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit

Italian company WRC have introduced their all-new NTX 1.1 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road car kit. The vehicle utilises a 3mm 7075 aluminium chassis with a 2.5mm carbon fibre upper deck and a composite rear bumper and diffuser unit for increased suspension protection and improved aerodynamics. The suspension parts are of a symmetrical design to reduce the number of parts needed to carry to races and an innovative floating radio plate design ensures optimised chassis flex for both high traction and improved steering response. The front steering spindles and rear uprights are of a multi-piece design to allow fine-tuning using optional parts while ensuring maximised rigidity and included in the kit is also WRC’s “spring-less” magnetic brake return system that provides a free-spinning drivetrain. Also part of the package are sliding centre balance weights that attach to the chassis below the fuel tank. The kit is rounded out by a set of composite gears for the front differential and metal gears for the rear diff which results in a low weight and high durability.
