Kyosho MR-03VE Pro GP Limited chassis set

Kyosho America have introduced the third version of the MR-03VE Pro, the GP Limited. The car features the ultra-fast MHS2.4GHz system that delivers a response speed 16-times faster than the existing ASF2.4GHz and KT18 transmitter combination and 4-times faster than the ASF2.4GHz system and KO Propo EX-1 transmitter combination. Equipped with the newly developed Xspeed VE PRO brushless motor that incorporates a one-piece aluminium case and heatsink, this dynamic 12000KV specification motor is kept cool to extract maximum performance to produce the fastest speeds in Mini-Z history. Additional features include the previously optional MML aluminium motor mount to lower the centre of gravity and enhance heat dissipation even further, MML roll shock that increases setting flexibility, and ball diff for improved cornering and running performance. Previously optional parts included as standard in the GP Limited are anodised in a special colour.

Traxxas introduce upgraded X-Maxx 1/8th monster truck

Traxxas have introduced their upgraded X-Maxx 1/8th electric monster truck. With the current model already being a pretty impressive piece of kit, the 2017 variant will offer even more strength and power. The X-Maxx 8S is packed with new 8S-rated components engineered to handle the brutal torque and incredible speed of 30+ volts 8S LiPo batteries. Full steel-gear driveline, larger driveshafts, larger main bearings, strengthened bulkhead, new heavy-duty ring and pinion gears, dual-fan motor cooling and more make the truck ready for the use with two 4S LiPo packs. The new torque-biasing center drive unit distributes the power for maximum wheels-up punch and unrelenting acceleration. For current X-Maxx owners Traxxas will offer an upgrade kit that brings the truck to 2017 specifications. The X-Maxx 8S will hit stores in February.

Roche Rapide P12-2017 1/12th scale pan car kit

UK Roche distributor Zen Racing has released first images and information on the Rapide P12-2017 1/12th scale pan car kit. The car builds on the 2016 IFMAR World Championships and ROAR Nationals winning car and it utilises a newly designed 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis and rear power pod plate. Other areas that received a make over are the floating servo plate, the front lower aluminium bulkheads, the rear alloy chassis brace and the low centre of gravity motor mount. The rear centre top plates also are of a new design to accommodate the Rolling Friction Adjust System RFAS and included in the kit are furthermore a new big bore centre shock and new diff and clamping wheel hubs that allow the use of M2.5x8mm screws. The kit is rounded out by redesigned alloy side spring mounts and aluminium steering turnbuckles. More information and images should become available in time for the release.

TSR by Bergonzoni Group RSV4 1/8th nitro buggy

Coming soon from Team Scorpion Racing by Bergonzoni Group is the RSV4 1/8th nitro off-road buggy. The competition kit will sport features such as a chassis with decentralised motor position for improved balance over jumps, it is meant to utilise an all-new big bore shock absorber design for better soaking up jumps and bumps and the differential are of a limited slip design with new satellite gears and plates, increasing traction on all types of surfaces. The official announcement with more details and first images is set for the 12th of December.

Xray XB4 2017 1/10th 4WD buggy kit

Xray have made their IFMAR World Championship winning XB4 platform future-ready with the introduction of the 2017 edition. The kit features updates to details such as the floating servo mount that allows for left and right hand servo mounting. The multi-piece part is made up using an inner aluminium bracket and a swappable carbon fibre upper plate and its design does not interfere the natural flex of the aluminium chassis.

Tamiya Bigwig 2017 – Coming soon

Following first rumours French Tamiya distributors T2M have now officially announced the release of the 2017 Bigwig for January 2017. The 1/10th 4WD buggy was originally released back in 1986 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Tamiya’s radio controlled car section and it will soon make a return to the store shelves, collector’s cabinets and racing tracks. As usual with Tamiya’s re-releases the kit will be a near 100 percent replica of the original model with the 2017 featuring some improvements and changes such as a GT-Tuned 25T brushed motor as well as slight moulding changes to the speed controller and battery compartment to better suit today’s electronic speed controllers and battery packs. Also included will be a new decal sheet with slight updates to the original sponsor logos. Full information along with images of the actual kit should become available shortly.

Tamiya M-05 Mazda2 Demio M-chassis kit

The latest addition to Tamiya’s M-chassis range is the M-05-based Mazda2 Demio. Resembling Japan’s car of the year 2014/15 the kit utilises a front-driven M-05 chassis and it includes the highly detailed 4th generation Mazda2 Demio bodyshell. A comprehensive decal sheet including grille, head and tail lights as well as window details is also included as are replica wheels and high-grip treated tyres. The kit will become available in Spring 2017.

Team Magic B8ER ARR 1/8th electric buggy kit

Team Magic have introduced the new B8ER ARR 1/8th E-buggy kit. The intermediate-level buggy comes as pre-assembled “roller” without electronics, motor or RC equipment but with a pre-painted bodyshell and HRC BullDog tyres. Other features include aluminium parts such as the main chassis plate, shock towers and steering plate as well as alloy chassis stiffeners, motor mount and shock absorbers. The suspension geometry is widely adjustable and the kit also sports CVD-type driveshafts, three gear differentials and sealed ball bearings.
