“Leaked” image teases Kyosho Turbo Scorpion re-release

"Leaked" image teases Kyosho Turbo Scorpion re-release

A first “leaked” teaser image of the expected Kyosho Turbo Scorpion re-release buggy has appeared on the internet. Following the re-release of the 1980’s Tomahawk, Scorpion and Beetle kits, the former top-of-the-foodchain Turbo Scorpion would be a sensible next step in the company’s re-release schedule. The somewhat blurry image shows a buggy with brushless motor and what appear to be modern 2.2″ rims and tyres, showing the release might target the growing interest in vintage racing. We bring you more information on the possible release as soon as they become available.

Zen Racing RXGT12 1/12th scale pan car kit

Zen Racing RXGT12 1/12th scale pan car kit

Zen Racing have introduced their new RXGT12 pan car kit for the popular GT12 racing class. With a focus on a simple and easy to work on design the car features simplifications where needed while maximising the important aspects to improve handling and performance. The front ride height is easily adjusted using supplied shims with the front suspension also featuring spring steel axles and flanged ball bearings. Rear tweak adjustments are performed using side springs inside the damper tubes and the fully adjustable rear ride height can be fine-tuned using the included adjusters. A delrin pivot hole makes for bind free rear pod action and also part of the package are hard-coated pivot and stud balls, aluminium servo posts, black aluminium turnbuckles, a Kimbrough servo saver and a 66T 48 pitch spur gear. Kyosho Mini-Z MR-03VE Pro MM2 chassis set

Kyosho Mini-Z MR-03VE Pro MM2 chassis set

Kyosho have introduced the Mini-Z MR-03VE Pro MM2 chassis set. With its performance defining midship motor mount, new MM2 motor case allows the longer (94mm) wheelbase to be used. The existing MM motor case design can be used with the LL/98mm, 3L/102mm and 4L/106mm wheelbases, but the new MM2 motor case can be used with L, LL and 3L wheelbases. Also, compared to the existing RM motor case, mass balance is optimised to improve cornering performance and minimise tipping due to high side on hybrid surfaces. These performance features provide a huge advantage in the JSCC class with the narrow body required by the regulations. In addition, axle adjustment spacers allow changes to the rear axle shaft height and together with the new plastic friction shock, precision setting according to road surface conditions are possible. The kit, that comes without tyres, wheels and bodyshell, utilises the MHS2.4GHz system, which is usable with the optional KO Propo-made Synchro EX-6 transmitter, making for ultra-fast response.

Pro-Line Ambush 4x4 1/25 mini scale crawler

Pro-Line have introduced their new Ambush 1/25 mini scale crawler. The palm-sized vehicle features full-time four wheel drive with solid axles and true leaf spring suspension, allowing it to tackle even the toughest climb. A 3mm steel ladder frame forms the solid base for the transmission and suspension and the black oxide coating makes for long lasting protection against the elements. Sleek chassis-mounted bumpers cap off each end for added protection. Each corner of the truck has a 3-leaf pack with working shackles and attaches to plastic friction shocks that limit down travel. The truck comes factory assembled with a Micro Torque brushed motor, a G9000 micro servo and an integrated ESC/receiver with an open 3rd channel port allowing for unique customisation or future 3rd channel option parts. Included is also a full proportional 2.4GHz radio and the package is rounded out by an open rollcage bodyshell, available in three designs, and Mini Flat Iron tyres mounted on Denali wheels.
