Axial SCX10 II 2000 Jeep Cherokee RTR

Axial’s all-new SCX10 II 1/10th 4WD off-road vehicle is now also available in an RTR variant including the 2000 Jeep Cherokee bodyshell. Coming fully assembled and loaded with features such as the AR44 hi-pinion axles, all-steel suspension links, universal axles, and 1.9 Method mesh wheels the truck also includes a 2.4GHz radio system, 3-channel receiver, waterproof AE-5 speed controller and water resistant metal gear steering servo. All that is topped of by a pre-painted Jeep Cherokee bodyshell.

Kyosho Ultima RB6.6 – Teaser

Kyosho have released first information on the forthcoming Ultima RB6.6 1/10th 2WD buggy. The follow-up version of the World Championship winning RB6 will feature a new wide 7075 aluminium chassis in a long wheelbase configuration, adding 13mm on length compared to the standard RB6, making for improved stability. Right out of the package the 6.6 comes with a total of four gearbox configurations: rear motor and three mid motor layouts including stand-up 3-gear, stand-up 4-gear and low rider 3-gear. The battery tray system is usable with a range of battery configurations including straight type, shorty and saddle packs batteries. Also part of the package is a new steering crank design, Velvet-coated shock absorbers, front straight and rear gull-wing A-arms as well as a new high downforce cab forward bodyshell. Coming from Team Associated is the limited edition Apex 1/10th 4WD touring car kit. Available for the North American market only the kit, that is the base for AE’s popular Apex RTR vehicles, features a shaft-driven 4WD drivetrain, large volume shock absorbers, realistic brake discs and callipers and it is the ideal base to get started into VTA, touring on-road or drift racing. The rolling kit needs and RC system, electrics, a body and wheels for completion.

Arrma Raider XL Mega 1/8th 2WD RTR buggy

Arrma have introduced their new Raider XL Mega 1/8th scale 2WD ready-to-run buggy. The combination of a longer wheelbase, a wider track and larger wheels and tires make this 2WD 20 percent larger than the 1/10 scale version. Its bigger size makes it more stable and forgiving, and it features metal gears, adjustable oil-filled shocks, a Mega 15T brushed motor, waterproof receiver box, steering servo and ESC, composite side bumpers and a Tactic TTX300 radio system.

Yokomo YD-2 & YD-2 Plus RWD drift car chassis kits

Coming from Yokomo are two new drift car chassis in the form of the YD-2 and the YD-2 Plus. The RWD design offers a good balance between acceleration and stability, which can be beneficial in the Tsuiso Battle called tandem and twin races, making the car also very controllable at full counter drifting. The kit will be available in two specification with the YD-2 coming with a standard composite bathtub lower deck while the Plus kit is equipped with a carbon fibre double deck chassis. Another difference between the kits are the shock absorbers with the standard kit coming with slightly simpler shocks while the Plus includes aluminium big bore shock absorbers. Otherwise both cars feature a 4-gear transmission, aluminium motor plate, long springs, a high angle steering system, full ball bearings, rear universal driveshafts, and the ability to run standard or shorty battery packs. The standard YD-2 kit is available with our without YG-302 gyro unit while the Plus is only available without.

Traxxas Slash 2WD Robby Gordon Gordini RTR

The highly popular Traxxas Slash 2WD short course truck is now also available with a Robby Gordon Gordini replica bodyshell. Known in the full-scale racing world for some time the orange coloured truck is now also available for RC car enthusiasts. The 2WD vehicle is powered by a powerful 550-size 12T brushed motor, it features the waterproof XL-5 electronic speed controller and a waterproof receiver box and steering servo. The metal-geared Magnum 272 transmission with Revo-spec torque-control slipper and grippy replica wheels and tyres help to get the power to the ground while the 2-channel 2.4GHz TQ radio system makes for reliable steering and throttle control. The set is rounded out by a 4A DC peak-detecting fast charger and Traxxas 7-cell NiMH battery with iD.

RS5 XF large scale formula kit

RS5 have release first renderings of their forthcoming XF large scale formula car. Designed for full compatibility with both Zenoah and Beast engines, the car furthermore features a monoshock front suspension for better accessibility, a monoblock front suspension rocker holder for maximum stiffness as well as a ball-centring servo saver, fully adjustable suspension including castor and also an easy diff change system using four screws. The kit also comes with steel or brass-steel balljoints for the A-arms and an all-in-one radio plate that houses the servos and receiver box for easy setup, cleaning and maintenance.

Yokomo BD7-2016 Japan Edition asphalt spec kit

Yokomo have introduced the BD7-2016 Japan Edition kit that is specially aimed at asphalt racing. The limited edition is based off of the standard 2016 but it features some asphalt-specific option parts such as aluminium steering limiter screws, a front belt tensioner set, 43.5mm FR aluminium suspension mounts, SLF short II shock diaphragms, pink SLF short II springs, a titanium turnbuckle set as well as aluminium steering bellcranks and the 44mm C-clip rear universal shafts. Also included is a dedicated asphalt spec carbon fibre chassis. The Japan Edition kit will be in use by the Yokomo factory team at the forthcoming JMRCA nationals in July.
