Team Magic E4RS III+ electric touring car kit

Team Magic E4RS III+ electric touring car kit

Team Magic have introduced the E4RS III+ electric touring car kit. The follow-up model of the E4RS III, that was only introduced around eight month ago, features some subtle revisions with more than 90 percent of the parts remaining the same. Most of the modifications made will increase the car’s precision, corner speed and steering angle. The III+ builds on a symmetrical carbon fibre main chassis plate, the aluminium bulkheads feature 1-piece upper aluminium covers with ultra-thick shock towers and the optimised front steering knuckles sport an additional Ackermann mounting position while offering increased steering throw. Part of the package are also dual-joint front driveshafts, included is an aluminium spool body with steel outdrives, and the standard length shock absorbers are equipped with teflon shock guides and aluminium spring cups. Also included are low-profile battery guides, a laterally adjustable motor mount as well as orange, ultra fine-tune suspension inserts with 0.2mm increments. For current E4RS III owners Team Magic will also release an upgrade kit. The III+ is set for a release in the second week of December.

Team Durango DEX210v3 2WD buggy kit

Team Durango DEX210v3 2WD buggy kit

Team Durango’s popular DEX210 2WD off-road has received a make-over and it is soon available in the latest v3 variant. The buggy is still based on a hard-anodised aluminium chassis, it features spacious composite plastic side pods for the electronics and includes Team Durango’s patent-pending Hybrid gearbox that allows to run the buggy in 3 or 4-gear mid or gear motor configurations straight from the box. The adjustable battery mount can utilise standard length straight packs, saddle or shorty pack batteries, and the v3 kit is even more versatile than its predecessors with the introduction of the Multi-Axle driveshafts that allow to run the driveshaft’s cross pin in an inner or an outer position which has a direct influence on the on-power steering characteristics. Also new with the DEX210v3 are two sets of wheel hex adapters, standard TD 14mm hexes as well as new O-ring equipped 12mm variants that securely keep the drive pin in place while being compatible with most industry-standard 12mm hex rims. Other features include a ball differential, HD composite ballcups, and a newly designed bodyshell.

MCD RR5 Ultimate CF Limited Edition kit

MCD RR5 Ultimate CF Limited Edition kit

MCD have introduced their latest gasoline-powered large scale buggy, the RR5 Ultimate CF Limited Edition. The bolstered-up Ultimate kit includes an arrangement of optional upgrade parts that were tested and used by the MCD Racing team drivers during many races including the European Championships. The alloy upgrades are CNC-machined from 7075 billet material and even though they are metal parts, the heavy machining makes them lighter than the respective composite versions. On top of that all alloy parts are hard-coated in MCD’s signature gun metal anodising to create a hard-wearing surface. The Ultimate kit is limited to 100 pieces only and you can find a list of all parts included after the break.

HB D216 1/10th 2WD buggy kit

HB D216 1/10th 2WD buggy kit

HPI Racing have released first official images of their forthcoming D216 1/10th scale 2WD buggy kit. Sharing many of its details with the ROAR championship winning D413 4WD buggy, including the triangulated shock towers and 12mm Big Bore V2 shocks, the new D216 machine has many of its own aspects. The narrow carbon fibre chassis allows to mount the battery pack in a transversal or longitudinal position and the mid-motor-only design makes for a nimble handling with maximum steering and rear traction. The carbon fibre battery strap and its orange anodised aluminium brace add additional stiffness to the rear of the chassis and the very distinctive mid-mounted transmission encloses a 3-gear transmission for the most efficient drivetrain possible, fitted with an externally adjustable 3-plate, large diameter slipper clutch. The high volume gear differential is easy to remove from the transmission case for tuning, and can be replaced with an optional ball diff if needed.

Roche Rapide F1-2016 formula car kit

Roche Rapide F1-2016 formula car kit

Following a first teaser Roche now have more images and information of their forthcoming Rapide F1-2016 formula car kit available. The car utilises a narrow 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis with a newly designed floating side link mount whose higher mounting position, compared to standard designs, helping to reduce chassis overhang, increasing ground clearance during hard cornering and thus reducing performance-hurting chassis scrub. The front suspension is made up using a carbon fibre double wishbone construction with adjustable caster while hard-coated aluminium pivot balls make for a lightweight yet friction-less operation. Part of the front end is also an aluminium servo mount that can be used in a floating or a fixed setting to manipulate chassis flex, allowing to adapt overall flex to the track conditions. The combined battery and shock mount supports both transversal and inline battery mounting and the included shock absorber is of a big bore type for best possible rear traction on a range of surfaces. The kit is rounded out by an aluminium rear pod construction with a height-adjustable rear axle using shims, the included ball differential is making use of a 16-ball Xenon Racing spur gear and the diff is equipped with a 5mm thrust bearing for smooth operation.
