Team Magic E4RS III+ electric touring car kit – Teaser

HRC Distribution have a first information about the forthcoming Team Magic E4RSIII+ electric touring car kit available. The follow-up model of the successful E4RS III will feature some subtle refinements such as a 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis for quicker steering response, reinforced C-hubs for increased durability and steering precision, revised steering knuckles for increased steering as well as reinforced rear drive shafts and upper bulkheads. The suspension arms now use aluminium pivot balls and new arm mount spacers make for easier fine-tuning of the roll centre settings. Also new is an updated one-piece FR arm mount for better steering control. The III+ will become available as a full kit and also as an upgrade package for current E4RSIII owners. Yokomo YZ-4 1/10th 4WD buggy kit

During this week’s 2015 IFMAR Electric Offroad World Championships Yokomo’s all-new YZ-4 1/10th 4WD electric off-road buggy is making a first public appearance following its stealthy debut at the opening round of the 2015/16 EOS. Designed by Shin Adachi the car features a totally new drivetrain layout with dual 2WD-style 3-gear transmissions on ether end which are coupled by dual drivebelts to replace the shaft drivetrain of the proven yet slightly ageing B-Max4 car. The setup allows to use very small gear differentials without having to worry skipping belts while the overall design also results in an easier to drive and less edgy car.

Team Durango DETC410v2 touring car kit

Team Durango have introduced the DETC410v2 1/10th 4WD touring car kit. The refined version features some subtle changes that will improve precision, consistency and overall track performance with the car still being based on a carbon fibre double deck chassis with aluminium bulkheads but the suspension components are made of a stiffer composite material with increased carbon fibre content for reduced flex especially on high-grip surfaces and in high ambient temperatures. Beside the new material A-arms, hubs and steering knuckles the v2 will also include softer standard composite parts to allow a wide range of setup adjustments when conditions call for it. Other new composite parts include precision ball cups with removed unwanted play and also the suspension hanger inserts have received a make-over with the new parts offering even higher precision.

Tresrey HT-1 1/10th 4WD touring car kit

Coming soon from Japanese company Tresrey is the HT-1 1/10th 4WD touring car kit. The car is based on a carbon fibre double deck chassis, it features purple anodised front and rear shock towers as well as gun metal anodised aluminium suspension and layshaft mounts. Also part of the package are an aluminium floating steering servo mount as well as a rail-type steering assembly. More details should become available in time for the release.

Tamiya Motul Autech GT-R & Mazda Roadster

Tamiya have two new 1/10th scale on-road kits available in the form of the Motul Autech GT-R on the TT-02 chassis as well as the Mazda MX-5 Roadster, based on the M-05 chassis. Starting with the GT-R, the car resembles last year’s Super GT GT500 class winner with the vehicle being based on Tamiya’s popular entry-level TT-02 4WD chassis. Included in the kit come a replica Nissan GT-R bodyshell, a comprehensive decal sheet as well as black rims and slick tyres and it will hit the stores at the end of November.

First look at the HB D2’16

First look at the HB D2'16

On display for the first time at this week’s IFMAR World Championships at the Yatabe Arena is the unique D2’16 from HB. Designed to be a versatile platform it is particularly good on loose surfaces on which it has done most of its development work and testing. While not the final chassis, the configuration is set and it allows for 8 different battery positions, 4 inline and 4 sideways positions. Massively adjustable it has 9 kick up options, 5 caster positions, 5 trailing arm positions as well as adjustable arm sweep, all without using additional parts.

Vaterra Twin Hammers DT 1.9 Rock Racer RTR

Horizon Hobby have announced the soon release of the Twin Hammers DT 1.9 Rock Racer RTR vehicle. Based off of the proven Twin Hammers the DT variant will feature an updated bodyshell and a LED light bar for running at night. The rugged 4WD chassis features long travel suspension components like the ones found on full-scale rock racers, it comes with multi-surface beadlock wheels and tyres as well as factory-installed waterproof electronics. Included in the set is also a genuine Spektrum DX2E 2.4GHz radio system, a 2000mAh LiPo battery pack and a suitable wall charger.

Awesomatix A800 electric touring car – Teaser

Russian company Awesomatix have released a first teaser for their forthcoming A800 electric touring car. No details on the features or specifications are known yet but the car is meant to perform (even) better while having a lower price tag. It is understood that the kit will hit the stores this October. We bring you more information as we get them.
