Xray have released a first teaser image for their all-new NT1 200mm nitro on-road kit. Later this week, in the build up to the car’s release, we will have an in-depth interview with Xray’s on-road designer Martin Hudy and an exclusive ‘making of story’ on the latest release in the World Championship winning NT1 platform.

Italian company BMT are currently working on a 1/10th scale nitro on-road car to add to their successful 984 1/8th racer. The car will feature aluminium bulkheads and a laydown servo design but no other details are known yet. It is understood that the kit is set for a release in September and more images will become available soon.

Mugen have announced that they will release an all new nitro & electric on road GT racing car called the MGT7. While designed to compete at the highest level of GT racing, competing at next week’s Winter National (Fort Myers) as well as the On Road fuel National in Kissimmee FL later in the year, the platform is suitable for all levels and a wide range of usage scenarios from on the track to bashing outside your house. Back in January Japanese company Creation Model announced their Infinity branded 1/8th nitro on-road car and now first images of the project are available. Developed by former Japanese National Champion and World Championship podium finisher Masao Tanaka the yet unnamed car is currently in its final stage of development and it undergoes track testing on various international tracks. The kit is set for a release this Summer with more images being available soon.

Following a first teaser image Team Durango now released a more detailed photo of the DESC10 4WD short course truck. The newly designed kit looks a lot beefier than the popular and race-proven DESC410 with its 1/8th scale-ish suspension components, shock absorbers and 17mm wheel adapters. So far no features or specifications are known but the kit is meant to be on its way to the distributors and we await details on the truck, as well as the three new 1/8th vehicles, very soon.

Serpent introduce the all-new F110 SF2 1/10th scale formula car kit. Designed by Michael Salven and David Ehrbar the car is based on a 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis and it features a new front end design compared to its predecessor with 2.5mm lower carbon fibre and upper composite A-arms, adjustable ride height for both rubber and foam tyres as well as quick adjustable castor using moulded inserts. To fine-tune the steering characteristics the king pin angle is adjustable using inserts and the included independent front suspension set with tube dampers helps to smooth-out the suspension action.

Kawada has released a preview image of their forthcoming F500WS formula car kit. It appears to build on several parts taken over from the company’s W500 1/12th and 1/10th pan car range with a purpose-designed double wishbone wide track front suspension and a rear link-type suspension that makes use of in-line roll damper as seen on the TRG formula cars. The slim carbon fibre chassis features a stand-up steering servo mount that obviously can be shifted forth and back to fine-tune the steering geometry while the shorty battery mount also allows to shift the pack forth and back. Other features or general information so far remain in the dark but it is understood that Kawada tries to have the kit available by April.

French company BRX released first images of the forthcoming BRX5 Full Watts 1/8th scale 2WD electric on-road kit. The “classic” 2WD car features rigid front and rear suspension parts, a simple single belt drivetrain and a silver carbon fibre main chassis with blue anodised aluminium parts. The front suspension offers adjustable caster, camber, track width and toe settings while the rear end has adjustable camber, track width and toe values. Building on the 2014 kit the ’15 spec car offers new battery mounts for dual 2S standard or shorty LiPo packs with the latter allowing to adjust the weight balance by shifting the packs forth or back.
