Kyosho FO-XX 1/8th basher truck

Kyosho FO-XX 1/8th basher truck

Kyosho have released first information and photos of the FO-XX 1/8th scale basher truck based on what appears to be a revamped Twin/Mad Force chassis. Featuring a lightweight vertical plate chassis with inner dirt shields and front and rear rigid axles the truck resembles a mud-slinging Formula Off-Road vehicle with its paddle-type tyres and scale bodyshell. Threaded big bore shock absorbers make for improved off-road performance while a front bumper with light buckets not only look cool but also protect the chassis from the rigours of off-road racing. The FO-XX comes ready-to-run including a 2.4GHz radio system, a waterproof high-torque steering servo and your choice .25 big block nitro motor or a high-performance brushless system.

VBC Fibrebolt 2WD buggy – Production prototype

VBC Racing have first images of their forthcoming first 2WD off-road buggy available. The Firebolt is based around a narrow 2.5mm 7075 aluminium chassis with adjustable chassis flex system and a carbon fibre battery brace. Composite sidepods prevent dust, dirt and moisture from entering the chassis while giving additional support when a shorty LiPo battery pack is used. The battery mount will also take saddle or square pack batteries while the upper carbon brace incorporates a fan mount to cool the mid motor when needed. The kit will include several aluminium parts from stock such as 12mm big bore shocks, front arm mount, rear bulkhead and rear suspension mounts. The shock towers are cut from 3.7mm carbon fibre and the turnbuckles and CV-type driveshafts are made from high-quality spring steel. There is no official release date so far but expect the buggy to hit stores anytime this Summer.

Updated Xray X10 World GT pan car coming soon

Updated Xray X10 World GT pan car coming soon

Xray have released a teaser image for their forthcoming (updated) 2015 X10 World GT pan car kit. The current X10 Link, with its slotted and relatively wide main chassis, was designed around the use of NiMH cells so our guess is that the 2014 Spec car will at least see a plain chassis, possibly designed around the use of shorty or 1S LiPo packs with a focus on an in-line mounted speed controller. With the above being purely speculation all we can do is to sit and wait until Xray makes an official announcement with images and definite features and specifications.
