Traxxas Telluride 4x4 trail rig

Traxxas announce their latest 1/10th off-road vehicle in the form of the Telluride 4×4 Extreme Terrain 4×4 trail rig. Named after a town in the Rocky Mountains the vehicle is based on a composite tub chassis with 4WD shaft drivetrain and it sports long travel suspension components with fixed length camber rods and big bore oil-filled shock absorbers. The modular chassis assembly helps with maintenance and parts replacement of the factory-assembled truck. Included with the vehicle come Kumho replica 3.0″ tyres pre-glued to satin chrome beadlock-style wheels and a ProGraphix pre-decorated body shell. The chassis comes equipped with a Titan 12 turn 550-size brushed motor, water-proof speed controller and a waterproof receiver box. Included is also a TQ 2.4GHz radio system and a waterproof steering servo.

Shepherd Velox V10 Pro 200mm kit

We brought you a first feature on Shepherd’s new Velox V10 Pro 200mm nitro touring car kit some weeks ago when we visited the company’s office during the first round of the Euro Nitro Series ‘Pilot Series’ at the Hockenheim Ring in Germany. The new Pro version features the latest innovations brought in by Patrick Schäfer and Alex Kempe including the input from team drivers and customers all over the world. The car is based on a new symmetrical 7075-T6 aluminium chassis and features redesigned and much smaller bulkheads who alone scrub around 150g of weight compared to the previous car.

TLR 22 V2.0 2WD buggy kit

Horizon Hobby introduce the new Team Losi Racing 22 V2.0 kit. The buggy builds on the known 22 platform and includes many new features such as a revised front suspension geometry for better corner-entry speed and optimised weight distribution for improved rear traction. Updated shock absorbers with new shock caps and a redesigned ball differential with carbide diff and thrust balls, larger diff rings and a 1-piece nut further assist with acceleration. Included in the kit is also an array of option parts such as an aluminium front bulkhead, rear aluminium camber plate, rear clamp-type hex adapters, aluminium suspension spacers, as well “clip-less” threaded hinge pins and new shock shafts, all of them coming with a new coating to reduce friction.

Tamiya TT-02 & M-05 kit news

Last week we reported about exciting future Tamiya kit released but lacked proper photographs and now Tamiya Japan have released first images of some of the upcoming kits. First up is the Zakspeed Ford Capri Turbo Würth, a replica of the 1980’s Group 5 monster that dominated the German Sportscar Championship, the series that later became the famous DTM. The car builds on the entry-level TT-02 4WD shaft-driven tub chassis and not only features a nicely made Ford Capri Turbo body but also wide off-set multi-spoke rims to up the track width. Included with the kit comes a complete Würth design sticker sheet to mimic the car that ran the 1981 campaign.

Team Saxo F1-200 chassis kit

Available soon from Team Saxo is the F1-200 ‘wide’ pan car chassis kit. Building on a carbon fibre chassis with link-type rear suspension the kit includes a 200mm wide front suspension for foam tyre racing with lower carbon and upper composite A-arms, sliding aluminium servo mount, upper carbon fibre battery plate, large volume central shock, single tube roll damper and aluminium motor mount. The chassis plate sports milled-out sections to route the servo and ESC receiver wires in and the car is usable with standard and shorty-size LiPo battery packs with the latter allowing the speed controller to be mounted in-line with the battery pack.

Kyosho Inferno MP9 TKI3 ReadySet

Kyosho introduce the Inferno MP9 TKI3 ReadySet 1/8th nitro ready-to-run buggy. Based on the 2010 World and 2013 European Championship winning MP9 the buggy features a fully adjustable suspension with anti-roll bars, new oil-filled shock absorbers with threaded housings and dirt shields for the rear A-arms. The wishbones are located by suspension mounts with inserts for easy toe and anti-squat adjustment and the 3-differential drivetrain is quipped with lightweight gears and a high capacity centre differential. The buggy builds on a hardened aluminium chassis plate for increased durability and features the latest forward-biased weight distribution thanks to a front-mounted RC box. Included with the factory-assembled buggy come high-performance steering and throttle servos, a KT-201 2.4GHz FHSS radio set and a race-legal KE-21R engine with polished tuned pipe. The whole package is topped off by a pre-designed body shell, a high-downforce wing and grippy tyres on white disc rims.

Future Tamiya kit releases

Future Tamiya kit releases

Tamiyablog.com have some information on forthcoming Tamiya kit releases available. Coming this Fall are two TT-02 based classic race cars in the form of the Zakspeed Capri Würth and the Porsche 99 Carrera RSR as well as the Monster Super Swift on M-05 chassis and the RR version of the DB01 intermediate-level 4WD buggy. There are no official pictures yet but the Ford Capri Würth was released as 1/24th scale plastic kit before and especially the Monster Super Swift looks to become a nifty piece of kit. As for the DB01 it is understood that the kit will feature a lot of new option parts to make the club-level chassis more race worthy.

New from Vaterra comes this amazingly looking 1969 Camaro SS ready-to-run muscle car. The vehicle is based on the V100 4WD 1/10th electric chassis and it received some valuable option parts in the form of oil-filled shock absorbers and a lightweight alloy centre driveshaft. Acceleration and speed are courtesy of a Dynamite Tazer 3300Kv brushless motor and ESC system while the energy is provided by the included Dynamite Silver 3000mAh 2S LiPo battery pack. Also included are a pre-painted Camaro SS body shell, treaded tyres on highly detailed multi-spoke rims, a genuine Spektrum DX2E 2.4GHz radio system with batteries and a suitable Dynamite 10W LiPo Balance AC peak charger.
