Fenix Racing WRC F-One I-mola upgrade kit

Fenix Racing have released a major upgrade kit for the WRC F-One, called the I-mola. The kit includes and new chassis made from 2mm thick quasi isotropic carbon fibre and a semi rigid rear link which allows different rigidity of the rear links for fine tuning. Multi wheelbase options, on both the rear and front along with variable battery placement within a 20mm range and flex adjustment on the upper deck make for a wide range of fine tuning options for the setup of the car. The conversion has shown a lot of potential in testing and is available now.

Centro C4.2 mid motor 2wd buggy

The follow up to the very successful C4.1, the Centro C4.2 is drawing closer to completion. Tom Yardy used the prototype (shown) to TQ and win the last round of the UK 1/10th off road nationals at Broxtowe last weekend. The production car will have new (anodized black) rear hinge pin mounts with inserts, new multiple battery layouts on the new +8mm chassis along with completely new moulded gear box. There is also a completely new rear tower and rear bulkhead and a revised Proline Bulldog bodyshell. Due for release in Mid August.

Team C Racing, better known for their offroad cars have announced they are releasing a 190mm EP touring car. Showing only the first photo of the car and no further information, from looking at the image, it seems like a pretty standard affair, with dual crank steering, floating servo mount etc. More details as we get them.

Team Durango introduce their latest off-road kit in the form of the DEX408T electric truggy. The vehicle combines the design elements of the DNX408T truck and DEX408 buggy to create a purpose build competition truck that comes with a tough aluminium chassis, aluminium bulkheads and new heavy duty suspension hangers for the maximum in durability. The heavy duty drivetrain features driveshafts with circlips retained cross pins, machined spiral machine-cut gears, and protective rubber boots for the outer driveshafts. The thick aluminium shock towers sport multiple mounting positions for the alloy big bore shocks and the upper camber links while the chassis is designed to take stick and saddle pack batteries of up to 35mm height. All that is topped off by a sleek truck body shell and Team Durango’s distinctive looking rear wing. The DEX408 will hit the stores very soon.

Novarossi-powered Serpent Cobra GP RTR buggy

Serpent introduce their Cobra GP 1/8th Ready-to-Race buggy with genuine Novarossi engine. The Billy Easton designed buggy makes use of many parts of the full-blown competition variant such as the 3-differential drivetrain, fully adjustable suspension, and the new Avenger body shell. The shock towers and shock bodies are CNC-machined from high-quality aluminium and the buggy comes factory-assembled including a Novarossi 3-port XS pullstart engine and 2.4GHz radio system. The full specification and features will be released in the coming days.

ARC R10 2013 kit

ARC introduce the R10 2013 electric touring car kit, an evolution of the original R10, winner of the Super Stock and Modified classes at the 2013 ROAR Indoor Nationals. The updated car features many improvements and performance enhancing details such as optimised chassis flex, a lower centre of gravity and reduced weight. The car builds on a 2.25mm main chassis, features a floating servo mount, all new low profile shock towers and big bore short body shock absorbers as well as new lightweight front and rear bulkheads and a new motor mount with further milled out section and better accessibility to large size pinion gears.

JQ Products THEeCar released

After showing the buggy in prototype stages and after many podium finishes in the U.S. and race wins in Russia and Germany JQ Products finally release THEeCAR. The company’s first 1/8th electric buggy kit, something that JQ Products’ mastermind Joseph Quagraine once called as ‘stupid’, is based on the Yellow Edition nitro buggy and uses the same front and rear gearbox assemblies as the noisy & smelly version, with only the chassis, left sideguard, centre diff/motor mount and dogbones being different. The body is also different, but the same one is now used on the wide chassis for the nitro. The buggy is meant to hit the stores as we type.

During the recent Shizuoka Hobby Show Tamiya introduced two new 1/10th electric buggies and also body shell variants for their TT-02 entry-level touring car chassis. Starting with the buggies, first up is the re-release of the late 1980’s Fox 2WD buggy that is now called the Novafox. The vehicle is pretty much a full replica of the iconic Fox buggy and features a plastic monocoque chassis, front and rear double wishbone suspension, front mono shock CVA damper and front anti-roll bar. Also included in the kit are gold-plated wheels, front rib and rear spike/block tread tyres and also a clear body shell with comprehensive decal sheet.
