Team Magic E4RS II Evo TC chassis

Team Magic E4RS II Evo TC chassis

Team Magic have released their new E4RS II Evo 190mm TC chassis. The new evolution focuses on lowering the car’s centre of gravity with other changes also following the current trend of centrally mounting all the major elements to avoid uneven flex of the chassis such as the servo mount. The 2.3mm carbon main chassis is slightly narrower than its predecessor and looking at the car you can see it comes highly spec’d with aluminium and carbon throughout as well TiNi coated shock shafts, front double jointed drive shafts and a rear gear differential.

X-Factory X-6 Cubed 2wd buggy

X-Factory X-6 Cubed 2wd buggy

X-Factory have released shots of their prototype X-6 Cubed 2wd buggy ahead of the release of the final car. This car shown is close to the final version with only a few minor changes between this and final production. The biggest one is the way the ball studs are mounted to the rear tower, in production the ball studs will be in the same location but mounted vertically. As you can see from the photos the Cubed will be an all carbon fibre car in keeping with X-Factory’s recently released SCX-60CF short course and the X-60CF stadium truck. The buggy has a top deck for easily adjustable chassis flex, a new slim design for better cornering and performance over bumps and is very close to minimum legal weight. It will also come with an all new body and medium downforce wing. Expect it to hit shops in June.

Compatible with both spare and option parts already available for the BD7, this is a great chassis to use as a base for those seeking to step up incrementally. The drivetrain utilizes a molded spool joint in the front, with a gear differential in the rear. Chassis, upper deck and shock tower are the same carbon graphite as the BD7.

There is an all new EP specific weight optimised main chassis which sees the 4S battery mounted to the front left of the car in front of the speedo, while on the right side the motor is mounted very far back in the car, in a new adjustable motor mount, along with the centre diff which because of this positioning drives a very short rear centre shaft and a very long front centre shaft. The servo and receiver are mounted at the front right of the car completing the electronics layout. We can expect full information on the car in the near future.
