Team Associated RC8.2 Factory Team Kit

RC82FactoryTeam

Team Associated release the RC8.2 Factory Team kit with a load of new option parts. Featuring the new Factory Team +3mm 7075 hard anodised chassis plate, the new chassis adds 3mm of length to optimise weight distribution and overall handling. Adding to this are newly designed suspension arms with centreline shock mounts and optimised anti-roll bar position. The new suspension arms were designed to work with the Factory Team 5mm 7075 aluminium low-CG shock towers to improve and optimise the suspension geometry, making the new buggy more plush and forgiving in rougher terrain. The Factory Team kit includes the 16mm “Big Bore” hard-anodised threaded shocks with 4mm titanium nitride coated shafts and revised shock boots to help increase traction and keep the rubber on the ground. Also included in the kit are JConcepts Punisher body and Illusion wing.

Speedmerchant Xray XII conversion kit

Speedmerchant Xray XII conversion kit

Speedmerchant are releasing their conversion kit for the Xray XII 1/12th scale car. Taking all the information gathered at the Nationals and testing weekly since, they have come up with this conversion. The new parts see the wheel base lengthened for more traction and stability as well as a widened front track for more predictable cornering. The rear suspension geometry has also been revised to get rid of any binding while the revised shock geometry offers more rear traction. The new chassis can accept the battery in 3 different positions, standard position, with over 1/2 inch for/aft adjustment, and offset/inline on either side of the chassis. They have also switched out the progressive springs for their linear tweak springs and moved them in-board, which they found to work much better on the lighter LiPo based cars. Finally they got rid of the single side to side damper for a pair of their proven damper tubes as they found the tubes to be much more consistent for racing.

CEFX Griffin 12 2011 conversion

CEFX Griffin 12 2011 conversion

Since its release in 2009, the Griffin 12 Conversion has been a leading contender if not dominating the 1/12 Modified scene. Since the prototype TQ’d the IIC in 2009, the Griffin has gone on to win back to back Snowbird Nationals and ROAR Nationals. Add in a victory at the 2010 IIC, dominating performance at the U.S. Indoor Championships, IFMAR WC Finalist in Germany, several other TQ’s and wins and the CEFX Griffin has set a very high bar in 1/12 performance. For 2011-2012 season, CEFX have decided to add in a few features to give Griffin users more options. Small shape changes to the chassis to improves stiffness along with tape slots and a raised center shock position now allow the Griffin user the option of multiple battery positions – the usual forward/back position as the standard Griffin but now also the option to run the battery turned ‘inline’. New tape slots and simple locators to run the battery on either side of the Griffin make it possible to maximize the balance and CG on different tracks depending on the main direction of corners. By request of our racers, we will also be making a ‘flexi’ Asphalt chassis in the same cut pattern as the Griffin 2011 chassis.

Schumacher Cougar SV Dirt Spec conversion

Schumacher Cougar SV Dirt Spec conversion

After a host of data gathering and testing by their factory drivers and engineers Schumacher are pleased to bring you this ‘Dirt Spec Conversion’ for the Cougar SV. Although the Cougar SV has been performing well on dirt, winning several major races recently, they thought they could improve its performance. The conversion allows more weight to be moved to the rear of the car by lengthening the chassis and also has the added benefit of using a brass plate under the gear box area also bringing the weight balance back. It will accept all major battery types including saddle, stick and 96mm short stick. All this aids forward traction on low to medium grip surfaces.

Associated 12R5.1 LiPo Conversion kit

Associated 12R5.1 LiPo Conversion kit

Team Associated have released a new 12R5.1 LiPo Conversion kit. The chassis has been been optimized for 1S LiPo batteries and features inline battery positioning generating a lower polar moment of inertia for smoother mid-corner steering in high traction conditions. A lengthened wheel base gives added stability, while the front bulkhead mounting position has been widened to give more options for upper control arm length and added adjustability for multiple track and motor conditions. An updated rear upper pod geometry increases leverage on center shock to help compensate for the lighter minimum overall chassis mass when using LiPo batteries. Other additions include stronger blue aluminium chassis braces and a thicker 3mm rear chassis brace gives extra support for rear body posts ad side springs.

Losi 22 RTR 2wd buggy

Losi 22 RTR 2wd buggy

Based on the TLR 22 Buggy Kit, the Losi 22 RTR has all of the performance characteristics of its racing cousin but with a few minor differences in materials used and what is included. The Losi 22 RTR is equipped with all the components needed to have fun driving anywhere, or to be raced competitively. It can also be easily upgraded to the TLR 22 standard. The 22 RTR is equipped with the same suspension geometry and durability as the TLR 22 and uses a serious electronics package by using a Losi brushless sensored motor and speed controller that can be raced in competition. This RTR is piloted by Spektrum technology via the DX3E radio and SR300 receiver and to control the steering a Losi extra high torque servo is provided to give the 22 RTR a precise and optimum steering response. The 22 RTR comes built in the rear motor configuration only, but the parts can be purchased to convert the chassis to a mid motor configuration.
