Schumacher have released full information on the new Cougar SV competition 2WD Off Roader. Shown to us here at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany the Cougar SV features a mid-motor position, ultra compact design, perfect centre line balance and revolutionary constant radius steering system. Due to the late arrival of their show products to the fair hall, we were only shown the stick pack version, while there is a saddle pack version also available.

O’Donnell Z01B-SG Team buggy

O’Donnell have introduced the Z01B-SG Team 1/8 scale nitro 4WD buggy. Featuring a stronger, lighter 7075-T6 machined chassis plate with improved weight distribution, the rear arms, hub carriers and front & rear shock towers all feature improved geometry. Other updates include stronger CVA axles with large, 3mm cross pin, new, stronger, front top carbon fiber deck, new center carbon-fiber top deck, new carbon-fiber radio tray and improved, stronger diff cases.

Venom SCX 2wd Short Course truck

Due to be announced tomorrow at the Nuremberg toy fair, the Venom SCX was designed for the popular 2WD short course racing class modeled after the fullscale Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series racing trucks. Designed from the ground up, the SCX represents the latest in race truck design plus a new feature unique to the Venom SCX MORdrive system. Now you can adjust the center of gravity on the fly in the pits by changing the rear transmission position from mid-motor to rear motor. The MORdrive system allows you to fine tune the weight balance and tailor the SCX to the track conditions to take the competition by surprise.

The new McPappy Racing 1/10th scale “Dart 2.0 Team Kit” has been designed with more new innovations specifically catering to single cell racing. Brand new flex control design offers flex options for any class, race track size or track conditions. For this year they lowered the center of gravity and lightened the car even more while providing even more tuning options. It has the left-most weight, lowest rear roll center, lowest center of gravity, roomiest rear motor pod, and lightest floating T-plate kit available today. The floating T-plate design not only offers centerline position, but also offers an offset position.

T.O.P. Racing Sabre FD chassis

T.O.P. Racing have sent us the first CAD images of their new Sabre FD, which is due for release in March. This front wheel drive chassis is designed as a more professional type chassis for the Tamiya FF02 class. The drive train is front gear driven, with the gear ratio & gears compatible with the Tamiya FF02 and use universals and wheel hubs from its bigger brother, the Photon. The suspension parts too are borrowed from the Photon as well as the rear bulkheads and differential. The car utilizes a super narrow and low CG chassis designed specifically for front wheel drive racing and uses the Photon LiPo battery balancing and guiding system. T.O.P. are also planning to release a pro kit for the M05 class and Mini 4wd touring class by the middle of this year, called the Sabre Mini FD and Sabre Mini 4wd respectively.

Serpent S100 World GT chassis

Serpent S100 World GT chassis

Serpent have announced that they will release the S100, the company’s new World GT chassis, at the toy fair in Nuremburg this week. Releasing a number of photos of the new car, this Link type  1/10 scale pan-car uses the basis of the S120 and S120 Link car and shares a number of components with those cars. Planner for a release at the end of March, it uses the same front end as the S120, has an adjustable wheelbase, which combined with the link-system and lateral shock offers a great racing chassis for this growing class.
