HPI Racing Trophy 3.5 buggy

HPI Racing have released the Trophy 3.5, the perfect way to get into nitro 1/8 scale buggy racing. Kyosho Inferno ST-US Sports

Kyosho have announced the release of the Inferno ST-US Sports, which is equipped with all the latest technology such as a 12 model memory, LCD display, digital radio with all the adjustments you would ever want. The drive train rides on all ball bearings and the power from the super powerful GXR28 is transferred through a hardened steel clutch bell and spur gear. The gear boxes have hardened steel spiral cut ring an pinion gears which means they were able to get the transmission ratio corrected for the large truggy tires without having to use a huge spur gear. This keeps the motor more centered in the car and the center diff lower to the chassis. A high torque steering servo has been spec’d for great steering accuracy and durability. Last but not least, the body comes fully detailed and a competition rear wing is added to make this truck that much more ready for the track or the back yard.

Associated SC8 Short Course Race Truck

Team Associated have officially announced the SC8, the first 1:8 scale, nitro 4WD offroad, authentic race truck replicas. Each SC8 comes decked out with one of four fully licensed race truck bodies, wheels and tires, designed to look just like the full size race trucks that run in short course off road series around the country. The world of high-performance R/C has never before seen this level of scale accuracy. Starting with the championship winning RC8T truggy platform, the SC8 was designed to meet the scale specifications of the full size short course race trucks. X-Factory X-60 close to release

We wrote before that X Factory has been working on a 1/10 electric truck, which will be a conversion for the T4. Spotted at this week’s ROAR National Championship race, being held at Hot Rod Hobbies, are production lower rear wishbones on the team’s prototype X-60s. Chief engineer Paul Sinclair’s X-60 is seen in the close-up photo with a very high quality molded arm which he says has passed the real-race test with flying colors so far.

We’re very happy with the quality of this part. It comes from the same shop that produced our 4-Gear transmission and rear bulkhead, so these arms are the very best quality molded parts. Sinclair continued, “The chassis design has been finalized and we flew out to L.A. for the Nationals a day early so we could pick up the production prototype arms and work with the shop on the chassis tool.

Expect a mid October release date.

Losi have introduced this 1/8-scale L8ight Model Race Roller, a professionally developed and tuned race roller designed specifically for dirt oval racing. With performance-enhanced features, such as dirt-oval-specific shock towers, big-bore oil-filled shocks, a molded front bumper, oversized body mounts, a Late Model-styled aerodynamic body and Losi/GRP dirt oval racing tires, the L8ight claims to offer superior quality when compared to the competition.

Team Magic M8JS 1/8th scale buggy

Team Magic have released yet another variation of their 1/8th scale buggy, called the M8JS. Available for a low price, TM claim that you will not find a buggy with this quality and workmanship anywhere else for this money. Essentially the same buggy as their M1B, this version comes pre assembled, so you just need to put some radio gear and a power plant and then your ready to go.

Greyscale Racing MRCG 1/28 chassis

Greyscale Racing have announced the upcoming release of the MRCG, their new 1/28 pan chassis conversion kit. Based on Kyosho’s venerable Mini-Z MR-02, the MRCG adds 1.5mm quasi-isotropic graphite throughout, a new rear suspension design, an extremely low CG and polar moment of inertia, as well as a 15% weight reduction over the MR-02 to bring 1/12 performance to a class less than half the size! The chassis also features several other small innovations, such as a quick-release battery system and true Mini-Z body compatability to preserve the aesthetic appeal of the Mini-Z series. The MRCG is compatible with both Mini-Z electronics or modular electronics, and requires 4 AAA batteries and a 130-can motor.
