Awesomatix tease A800MMX mid motor touring car

Awesomatix have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming new A800MMX mid motor touring car. No official details are available yet but it is understood that the car will be a mid-motor-only offering, rather than a conversion kit as the company’s current top-of-the-foodchain kit that has to be build using the standard rear motor car and the mid motor conversion. Full detail will become available in time for the release which is scheduled for November.

Xray T4 2020 electric touring car – Coming soon

Xray have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming all-new T4 2020 electric touring car kit. According to Xray the car will be a complete redesign with spy shots of prototype cars suggesting a move to the now-popular mid motor/mid spur gear design and possibly also newly designed, longer A-arms. Full details will become available in time for the release.

Kyosho Psycho Kruiser VE 2.0 RTR monster truck

Coming soon from Kyosho is their new Psycho Kruiser VE 2.0 1/8th electric brushless monster truck. Utilising design features known from the World Championship winning Inferno platform, the truck utilises a 3-diff shaft-driven drivetrain with hardened gears, front and rear universal driveshafts as well as full ball bearings. The reinforced suspension components and big bore threaded aluminium shock absorbers are keeping the tyres in the ground when the going gets tough while the Kyosho Speed House Torx8 2000vK brushless motor allows for speeds of up to 80km/h when using a 6S LiPo battery pack. The ready-to-run package is rounded out by a 2.4GHz Syncro KT-231P+ transmitter and a water-proof steering servo.

Traxxas Maxx 1/10th 4WD monster truck

Traxxas have introduced their all-new Maxx 1/10th scale 4WD monster truck. The smaller sibling of the popular X-Maxx 1/8th truck features an ultra-tough composite chassis design with integrated shock mounts and a rugged battery retention system. The energy absorbing chassis and bumper mounts combine with interlocking bulkheads to form a bedrock foundation for the heavy-duty suspension and driveline. Huge threaded aluminium GT-Maxx shock absorbers with large diameter shafts manage the suspension damping while new 2.8” wheels with a 17mm hex mounting pattern and flanged locknuts are putting the power of the high-output 540XL brushless motor to the ground. Also new is an advanced 32-bit microprocessor brushless speed controller. The truck, that is capable of speeds of over 90km/h, is decked out with a new design body shell.

BMT 801GT Pro 1/8th nitro GT kit

BMT have introduced their new 801GT Pro 1/8th nitro GT kit. Despite the known 801 name the GT Pro is a complete redesign with only the gearboxes and fuel tank taken over from the previous car. Both the chassis and suspension components have been redesigned to suit the needs of competitive GT racing and the kit includes a hard-anodised 7075-T6 alloy main chassis, a carbon fibre radio plate as well as front aluminium CVD axles, steel crown and pinion gears alongside a full set of high-quality ball bearings. 4mm thick aluminium shock towers ensure precise suspension movement while big bore aluminium shock absorbers are keeping the wheels on the ground. Other features include front and rear anti-roll bars, dust-proof RC and receiver boxes, an additional battery box for weight bias adjustment and also a 984-specification 2-speed gearbox for exceptional traction. The kit is rounded out by a lightweight 4-shoe clutch with Nickel-plated Ergal clutch bell.

Arrma Outcast 6S BLX 10th Anniversary LE truck

Coming as an exclusive limited edition is Arrma’s Outcast 6S BLX 10th Anniversary ready-to-run 4WD bashing truck. The vehicle builds on the proven Outcast 6S BLX, however it features an exclusive bodyshell print scheme with the exterior surface having both matt and gloss finishes. Also part of the body package are specially produced Limited Edition decals. Exclusive clear anodised aluminium parts are used throughout to give the LE truck a unique look. The truck uses a laser-etched chassis that is only available on the vehicle and it has been styled to match the body graphics. Rounding out the package are dBoots Back-Flip multi-surface tyres as well as the waterproof BLX185 150A brushless controller, the BLX2050 brushless motor, 15kg-cm steering servo as well as a Spektrum STX2 radio system. The truck, that is issued to celebrate Arrma’s 10th anniversary, is limited to 500 pieces world wide and it will hit stores soon.

Losi 1/10 Tenacity DB Pro 4WD Desert Buggy Brushless RTR

Horizon Hobby have introduced the new Losi 1/10 Tenacity DB Pro 4WD RTR Brushless Desert Buggy. The Tenacity DB Pro builds on the proven TEN platform and includes a full metric hardware package and aluminium features. This desert buggy features all the technological advances drivers demand including the Spektrum Smart 130A brushless ESC and Spektrum Firma 4-Pole 3150KV 550 motor allowing owners to hit 80km/h with a 3-cell LiPo battery. The ESC is waterproof, completely programmable and comes pre-wired with a high-current IC5 connector. Drivers stay in control with a DX2E Active transmitter, a Spektrum AVC receiver with steering priority, and scale-to-size Falken Wildpeak MT tyres and Method wheels. Finally, the Tenacity DB has a scale-inspired Desert Buggy body along with a new wing and off-road buggy inspired wheel design that looks good in the backyard and out in the desert blasting berms. Yokomo 4WD buggy prototype shown at IFMAR Worlds

During this week’s IFMAR 1/10th Off-road World Championships in Trencin, Slovakia Yokomo are campaigning a prototype 4WD buggy. The shaft-driven vehicle is using the 2017 World Championship YZ-4 SF as a base, however it utilises a new motor mount and centre drivetrain layout with the motor sitting behind the servo while the shorty battery is placed on the left front side of the chassis, opposite the steering servo. The speed controller and receiver will find a new home in the rear part of the chassis that features long front and a short rear centre driveshafts. The suspension components are taken over from the previous YZ-4 SF, meaning the prototype features basically a weight bias and possibly chassis flex update.
