Element RC Enduro trail truck builder’s kit

Element RC have announced the release of their Enduro trial truck builder’s kit – the build-it-yourself variant of the newly introduced Enduro trail truck series. At the heart of the Enduro is the new Stealth X gearbox. Although the exterior appears to have a conventional 3-gear transmission look, the inside is far from conventional. The gearbox features the ability to adjust the rear drive ratio independently from the front drive in three levels. Stock overdrives the front end 5.7 percent, option 1 provides a one-to-one drive ratio front to rear, and option 2 overdrives the front end 11.83 percent. Feeding the power to the tires are 3-piece telescopic driveshafts with an extruded aluminium centre section, universal front drive axles, and hardened steel ring and pinion gears. For the Builder’s Kit, Element RC include machined steel versions of the 5.7 percent and 11.83 percent transmission gears. The truck will allow for different wheelbase configurations of 12.3, 12.0 and 11.8-inch (313mm, 305mm and 299mm) wheelbases and it comes as chassis-only kit with the electronics, wheels, tyres, body etc. not included.

Arrma Limitless 1/7th scale Speed Bash roller

Building on the same on-road speed chassis as the Infraction truck, Arrma’s new Limitless 1/7th scale 4WD speed machine is an extreme bashing vehicle, designed for top speeds of over 120km/h. Made for the use on asphalt, concrete and even loose gravel or short grass, the car is bash-hardened and fully customisable, allowing to tune the aerodynamic balance to meet the owner’s requirements. The car builds on a 3mm aluminium main chassis with 2-diff drivetrain and it features dual battery compartments, lots of space for capable speed controllers and motors and it utilises a fully adjustable suspension with threaded aluminium big bore shock absorbers for best possible traction and side bite. Belted slick tyres on aerodynamic disk rims ensure exceptional performance on smooth surfaces and the tuneable aerodynamics include an easy-to-trim rear wing as well as a widely adjustable front wing to tune the front downforce and drag level. The under chassis aerodynamics have received special attention from the design team as the chassis and rear diffusor are integrated for slick underside airflow. The car comes factory assembly and without electronics with most 1/8th scale motors, speedos and standard-size servos being usable to maximise speed and performance. The car is decked out by a pre-painted and pre-decorated speed car body shell.

Arrma Infraction 6S BLX RTR Street Bash Truck

Arrma have introduced their mean looking Infraction 6S BLX Street Bash ready-to-run truck. The 1/7th scale vehicle is based on a 3mm anodised aluminium chassis with a red-colour centre brace for stiffness and cool looks. To aid high-speed stability a rear diffusor increases downforce and grip while a full-width front splitter balanced downforce distribution. A lightweight foam bumper adds protection and support to the front of the body. The suspension features a pivot ball design up front for increased adjustability while red anodised big bore alloy shock absorbers are keeping the belted slick tyres on the ground. The drivetrain utilises a 3-diff setup for traction in all track conditions and the electronics compartment houses the 6S LiPo-compatible BLX185 150A speed controller, the Spektrum SRS6000 Active Vehicle Control receiver and a powerful 15kg-cm torque steering servo. A sensorless 2050kV brushless motor propels the truck to top speeds of over 120km/h. The vehicle is decked out by a retro truck body shell with a factory-finished matte bronze camouflage trim and street truck decals. An included, unable wing lets the driver customise the downforce if conditions call for it.

Tamiya 1/24 Comical Lunch Box Mini kit

Coming this August is Tamiya’s 1/24 scale Comical Lunch Box Mini kit on the all-new SW-01 chassis. Designed for indoor and outdoor use the 190mm long truck is all-wheel driven and thanks to its high centre of gravity it can perform all sorts of stunts – including steered wheelies when using the optimal upper arm connector bar kit. A special steering mechanism allows for controlled chassis roll during cornering, ensuring a tight cornering radius as the truck leans to the inside of the corner. Included with the kit comes a pre-painted body shell that will be attached using magnets.

Xray XT4 1/10th 4WD electric truggy kit

Following a couple of teasers, Xray have finally unveiled their all-new XT4 1/10th scale 4WD electric truggy kit. A growing class with roots in the USA, the 4WD trucks are based off of 4WD buggies combined with the wide track suspension of 2WD stadium trucks. Xray’s take on the class is based off of the IFMAR World Championship winning XB4 and it utilises a 2mm 7075-T6 aluminium chassis with composite side tails and centre chassis braces. The 3-diff drivetrain ensures maximum traction in all grip conditions – also thanks to the front, centre and rear CV-style steel driveshafts. The highly adjustable suspension utilises aluminium suspension hangers with composite inserts to adjust the roll centre, toe, kick-up, anti-squat and track width settings. The shock towers are cut from high-quality carbon fibre and long travel aluminium big bore shock absorbers are keeping the tyres on the ground even in the roughest of terrain. The truck is decked out by a purpose-designed and highly aerodynamic body shell and it will hit stores very soon.

Serpent Viper 988e 1/8th electric on-road kit

Serpent have revealed first images and information of their forthcoming new Viper 988e 1/8th electric on-road kit. The car combines the race-proved suspension geometry, sturdy driveline and smooth shock absorbers of the nitro-powered 988 and combines them with the weight bias, flex options and belt driver layout of the Project 4X 1/10th electric touring car. The result is a lightweight chassis with optimised weight distribution and best possible efficiency. The design of the car also makes it super easy to work on for quick setup adjustments and maintenance. The car builds on a lightweight and super narrow 4mm alloy main chassis plate with symmetrical layout and central fixing points fort the suspension, batteries and electronics. The 2-belt drivetrain layout ensures perfect weight distribution and improved efficiency with the mid-shaft assembly allowing for easy spur gear changes. A vertical top deck, as used by some 1/10th electric touring cars, is the backbone of the car that gives the chassis the perfect balance between torsional flex and longitudinal stiffness.
