Serpent F110 SF4 1/10th formula car

Serpent have officially announced the release of their new F110 SF4 1/10th formula pan car kit. Around in prototype stages for some time now the kit will finally hit stores in December. The SF4 variant is based on the ETS-winning SF3, however the biggest update is the new bearing-supported rear pod design that does away with traditional side links, ensuring a linear roll movement during cornering which ensures independent cornering from braking or acceleration. While this doesn’t change much in terms of mid corner handling, the construction gives an unprecedented consistency and stability at corner entry under braking and when applying steering input and also at corner exit when the throttle is hit before the steering is completely straight. This allows to brake and accelerate harder into and out of the corner.

Carisma 4Y24 1/24th 4WD buggy kit

New from Carisma comes their 4Y24 1/24th scale 4WD buggy kit as a replacement for the ultra-popular GT24B kit. From the Pikes Peak inspired GT24R and the race inspired GT24TR Truggy to the GT24MT Micro Monster Truck, these RTR models are all in fact derived from the best selling model of them all: the GT24B. The range not only gave owners the opportunity to experience performance and control more associated with larger scales of cars, it also spawned a range of 3rd party hop ups, and even a full on race spec buggy conversion, like the Y24, manufactured by UK based NRC Projects. Sadly the whole production of these Carisma RC models is now sold through at retail and actually finding one to purchase as a donor vehicle is near impossible. The comprehensive 4Y24 kit, based on the original GT24B running gear and latest 2.4 GHz radio gear and brushless electrics is now available. It’s an ideal bed partner for the Y24 kit and could also be used as the base platform of a custom 1/24th fun build or micro FPV racer. The 4Y24 Kit will allow to add in any performance hop ups desired during the build itself, and then tune the chassis, shocks, wheels, tyres and body to the pilot’s driving style and taste. All the basics are included, from 2.4GHz FHSS radio gear, a fast and responsive steering servo, to the brushless long can motor and ESC. The fully ball-raced kit offers gear diffs as well as multiple gearing options.

Xray XB8 2019 1/8th nitro buggy kit

Xray have officially introduced the 2019 variant of their European and ROAR National Championship winning XB8 1/8th nitro buggy platform. The biggest new feature is the 2-in-1 front suspension concept with the kit including both a C-hub and a pivot ball design suspension, allowing to adapt the buggy to a variety of driving styles and track conditions. The C-hub layout will excel on tight and smooth tracks whereas the pivot ball suspension can be an advantage on open and rough track. Part of the suspension package are also redesigned A-arms that are made for a harder material for improved response and stability while also ensuring smoother operation in dusty track conditions. Also new for the 2019 variant is a redesigned chassis that accepts both soft and hard compound radio trays without modification, helping to adjust chassis flex for different ambient temperatures. All-new rear uprights with larger outside ball-bearings make for increased reliability and life-span while featuring an extra hole for wider roll-centre adjustment possibilities. Other features include new cell shock membranes with reduced air gap for improved grip, matching upper shock caps with four venting holes as well as longer front and rear shock shafts as well as softer front and rear anti-roll bars for increased traction.
