Green RC AC/DC Star Charger V1.0

Swiss brand Green RC have released their new AC/DC Star Charger V1.0. When charging or discharging, the Star Charger has an ‘Auto’ Function that sets the feeding current automatically. Especially for Lithium batteries, it can prevent the over‐charging that can lead to damaged batteries. Featuring an in-built individual‐cell‐voltage balancer it can monitor and balance individual cells of the Lithium battery pack during the discharge progress. If the voltage of any one cell varies abnormally, the process will be stopped with the error message. You can charge Lithium battery for special purposes, the ‘Fast’ charge reduces the charging time of Lithium battery and ‘Storage’ mode controls the final voltage of the battery for long time storage. Suitable for NiCD, NiMH, Li‐Ion, LiPo, LiFe and lead‐acid (PB) batteries.

Much More Hybrid balance charger & discharger

Much More have released their new Hybrid balance charger & discharger. This microprocessor controlled AC/DC system features a super compact design and special blue LCD screen. A 5 amp charge current and 1 amp discharge system, a built in voltage balancer and real time individual monitoring ensure optimum handling of Lithium cells. This unit can handle all the usual cells including NiCd, NiMh, LiLo, LiPo and LiFe and has a maximum charge and discharge of 50 watts. Available in black, blue and grey.

Etronix PowerPal 4 Multi Balance charger/discharger

The new PowerPal 4 charger from Etronix allows you to plug 4 batteries into one charger simultaneously and will intelligently and automatically charge all 4 of them to their maximum capacity. The batteries being charged do not even need to have the same configuration and you can connect different types, such as Ni-Mh, Ni-Cd, LiPo & LiFe batteries, into any of the charging ports. PowerPal 4 has a maximum output power of 200W and as a result it can charge or discharge 15 cells of NiCd/NiMH at 5.0A and 8 series of Lithium Batteries with maximum current of 5.0A. Furthermore the cooling system is so efficient that can hold such power output without any trouble of ruining the CPU or the operating program. When using a 12v car battery source, input power monitoring will avoid damage to the battery by ending charging automatically if the voltage drops below the required limit.

Reedy 447-S AC/DC Peak Prediction Charger

New from Reedy is the 447-S, a simple to use charger that offers the ability to charge the most popular NiMh/NiCd battery types and configurations. The 447-S utilizes state-of-the-art peak prediction circuitry to protect batteries from damage due to overcharging. Standard peak detection circuitry continues charging even after the battery is fully charged, which can damage the battery. Instead, the 447-S continuously monitors the battery’s charge curve, calculates when the peak will occur, and stops charging at that point. Advanced Trickle Charge mode automatically begins when the battery is completely charged.
