R1 Digital-3 brushless speed controller

New from R1 Wurks comes the LCG Digital-3 2S/1S wireless programmable brushless speed controller. Developed using the most advanced microchip processor and a robust proprietary software, the speedo delivers some of the most technologically advanced features to date. Development of the LCG controller was focused on ultra smooth power delivery needed for modified racing as well as supreme power efficiency for stock motors. The unit features an A.C.L.C. Advanced Component Level Cooling system. This design allows individual encapsulated low resistance Mosfets – inner and outer components – to transfer heat directly to the upper heatsink. The system also comes equipped with an all new zero timing blinky mode for spec racing, using an advanced commutation algorithm called Cool Power to keep the motor cool and deliver powerful, yet ultra-smooth acceleration. The LCG Digital-3 boasts a redesigned case minimising overall weight and lowering the centre of gravity. R1 Wurks have minimised the weight from the upper case while improving heat dissipation, achieved by improving air velocity exits from all sides of the ESC case. All adjustable settings are easily programmed using the R1 Wireless Adapter coupled with an iOS or Android app designed with an intuitive, easy to use interface. The new R1 Digital-3 app also features a super-fast live telemetry and a built in datalogger for after race analysis. Built in Amp draw meter for setting motor timing or for after race analysis. Using the new over the air updates feature, firmware updates are now easily downloaded through our iOS or Android apps.

Yeah Racing 30mm alloy case booster cooling fan

Yeah Racing have announced the soon release of their new 30mm aluminium case boost cooling fan. Being housed in an alloy rather than a plastic case, the fan will make for improved cooling efficiency not only because of its optimised case design but also by adding to the overall cooling surface when mounted to a speed controller heat sink. The case design also allows to use it as a motor cooling fan for extreme conditions. The fan is 8.4V high-voltage compatible, it utilises dual ball bearings and is available in black, blue or red colour.

Wild Turbo Fan Blow Harder 30mm fan

Wild Turbo Fan have introduced their new Blow Harder 30mm fan unit. The 12mm thick fan features an industry first nine exhaust fins design which generates the twisting wind pattern for focused air flow, hence more air to cool the object. With the nine exhaust fins design the support structure between the case and the core has been increased, and together with thicker side walls the case is much stronger compared to a standard 30mm fan. A round lip is also moulded into the intake side of the fan to further smooth out air flow. Last but not least, all the fan unit is manufactured with all new electronics.

Hobbywing QuicRun WP 880 Dual Brushed ESC

Coming from Hobbywing is their new QuicRun WP 880 Dual Brushed electronic speed controller. The ESC allows to operate two brushed motors simultaneously, making it the ideal choice for dual motor monster trucks. Adjustable PWM frequency and advanced DEO/freewheeling technology ensures exceptional throttle linearity and driving feel while fine-tuneable drag brake rates and brake force rates provide great stopping power. 15 programmable parameters allow to adapt the controller to a wide range of vehicles and applications and thanks to being dust and waterproof, the controller allows to go everywhere in nearly all weather and track conditions. A separate PRG/FAN port on the ESC allows to power and additional fan unit for maximised cooling performance and to connect an optional LED program box for ESC programming.

Team Powers Radon Pro V4 brushless speed controller

Coming soon from Team Powers is the Radon Pro V4 brushless speed controller. The 200A-rated ESC features new hardware in the form of higher power FETs for a lower internal resistance and thus increased power supply and lower running temperatures. At 17mm the new aluminium case is 2mm lower than the previous version while also scrubbing about six percent of weight. A new PCB layout design improves stability and reliability and the included new firmware provides the ability to access pre-defined software features – such as limiter, throttle rate, RPM lock, brake limit and throttle settings – using a third or fourth radio channel. Furthermore the controller comes with a 6V/7.4V 5A high-performance BEC system to support power-hungry servos.
