Performa Racing P1 HMX 10 brushless controller

Performa Racing have introduced their new P1 HMX 10 brushless speed controller for 1/10th scale vehicles. To allow for simpler, more user-oriented tuning, the controller features four different pre-defined settings based on the track condition, doing away with the need to carry a programming box or computer. The four settings have been tuned by Performa Racing’s engineering team together with their World Champion drivers to deliver maximum performance and simplicity. The settings are accessible by simply pressing a button on the switch. For racers that want to dig deeper and fine tune the programs, Performa will offer a PC software that will allow to change the parameters, within guidelines that ensure drivers don’t get lost, and keeping them in the optimal performance range.

Dash AI Pro V2 brushless speed controller

Coming from Dash is the AI Pro V2 brushless speed controller. Based on the previous model the V2 variant features state-of-the-art 32 bit micro-controlling and a robust software with the signature black and golden all-aluminium case improving heat dissipation. The redesigned case is now also smaller and lighter, minimising the overall weight and lowering the centre of gravity. The Reedy Race winning ESC was developed and tested with the help of Viktor Wilck and Nicholas Lee with a focus on smooth power delivery needed for modified racing as well as exceptional power efficiency for stock racing. Other features include a high-voltage 30mm turbo fan, an adjustable 6V to 7V high-voltage BEC system as well as interchangeable A-B-C motor connector configurations.

Yeah Racing Hyper Booster ESC capacitor

Coming from Yeah Racing is their new Hyper Booster aluminium case capacitor for competition speed controllers. This capacitor helps to deal with voltage sag during hard acceleration, and thanks to a very low internal resistance the available charge/discharge rates are very high, making it perfectly suited for touring cars or drifters. The capacitor is housed in a machined aluminium case for cooling purposes and it is usable with up to 9V input voltage.

Yeah Racing Hacktronic G2 brushless ESC

Yeah Racing have announced the release of their new Hacktronic G2 competition brushless speed controller. The second generation of the popular controller offers updated firmware features to bring it up to current requirements with a blinky mode as well as widely adjustable boost and turbo settings allowing to access both zero boost, boost and modified racing. Thinks are kept cool thanks to the machined aluminium case and the included 30mm fan will ensure the ESC stays cool even in heavy duty racing applications. Included with the controller comes a small-size fast cycle capacitor as well as a short all-black receiver wire. A programming box, that allows to read out the speedo’s telemetry settings, is available optionally.

Reedy SC400X brushed crawler ESC

Reedy’s all-new SC400X brushes speed controller, standard equipment in the Element Enduro RTR, is now available on its own. The speedo is 2S to 3S LiPo compatible and equipped with advanced features intended specifically for crawlers and trail trucks. Fully proportional forward and reverse gives precision control on rocky terrain while an option of 0%, 50%, or 100% drag brake setting helps maintain control on steep ascents and descents. Convenient dual auxiliary power leads can be used to power LED lighting or other scale accessories. The durable water-resistant case protects the ESC from the elements and an integrated heatsink keeps temperatures in check when using high-power motors during extended sessions. Flexible silicone wires, a low-resistance battery T-plug connector, and bullet motor connectors round off the list of features.

Hobbywing XR10 Pro G2 competition ESC

Hobbywing have announced the release of their new XeRun XR10 Pro G2 brushless competition speed controller for 1/10th scale classes. The updated variant of the ultra-popular XR10 Pro features high-performance 32-bit M4 microprocessing for super-fast and precise control. A built-in reverse battery polarity protection protects both the controller and battery when things are getting a bit hectic in the pits and a range of new accessories such as non-polarised capacitor banks and over-sized fan mounts complement the G2 ESC. The latter are machined aluminium heatsink design frames and allow the use of 30mm fan units in high ambient temperature conditions. New for the G2 is also the ability to use an external switch in case the internal one is hard to reach and in addition to the greatly improved hardware the speedo also received some new software features such as a greater PWM frequency range for throttle and brake, ensuring optimised control when needed. Also new are finer adjustable turbo increase and decrease rates as well as a 101 percent to 150 percent brake range, a feature that comes in handy when running high-turn stock motors with aggressive gear ratios. New for the G2 is also the ability to adjust motor rotation direction and the built-in BEC system offers adjustable 5V to 7.4V and 10A output. Last but not least comes a softening function that will improve vehicle control in high-power modified classes. Like the previous controller the G2 is programmable and upgradable using Hobbywing’s WiFi Express module and an iOS or Android mobile device with a more traditional programming box being also available. The controller is available with black/silver, orange or red case details and it is available now.
