R1 Wurks V21 brushless stock motors

R1 Wurks have introduced their new V21 brushless stock motors. Improved in three key points over the V16, the Version 21 offers further increased speed, optimised cooling and better tuning, meaning owners can extract more performance from the motor in a broader range of both gearing and timing. The stator is built from proprietary R1 laminate material, the end wind is epoxy-bonded and an ultra-low resistance collector ring is used, all resulting in improved punch and top speed. Included with the motor, that is available in 13.5T, 17.5T and 21.5T variants, comes an aluminium timing ring.

Hobbywing V10 G3 titanium-bonded rotors

Hobbywing have introduced two new titanium-bonded rotors for the V10 G3 series of brushless motors. The characteristic of the rotors will provide a smoother pickup acceleration without sacrificing top speed. This will help to tune motors especially to lower grip asphalt and carpet conditions as it aids car control out of tight corners. Available variants are a 5-12.5 and 5-12.3 that come individually marked for easy identification.

Trinity X-Factor spec class brushless motor

Trinity have introduced their all-new X-Factor spec class brushless motor. Of a new design the motor weighs in at only 144g to 148g on average which was achieved by using only six short screws to mount the timing ring and locking end plate systems. X-Flow cooling openings further reduce the overall weight while adding a lot of airflow through the motor. Other features include a new composite sensor board, a 2-piece CNC-machined aluminium can, and 2mm ultra-low resistance solder tabs. A new stator design provides more efficient power and virtually no fade during a run. Available variants upon release will be a 10.5T, built with a TEP1119 12.5×25.5mm high torque rotor while the 25.5T motor uses a TEP1117 12.3×25.5mm rotor. In-between variants for other stock classes will become available at a later date.

Motiv RC MC2 aluminium can screws

Motiv RC have introduced a set of aluminium can screws for the MC2 series of brushless motors. On top of weight savings, these screws will eliminate a portion of the eddy current brake or non working magnetic field on the motor. The screws are of 2.5mm thread and are 42mm in length. The three combine for only 1.5g in total weight which is less than half of their steel counterparts.
