Team Powers Actinium V3 brushless motors

Coming from Team Powers are their new Actinium V3 540-class electric brushless motors. Compared to the previous V2.0 motors the new generation features upgraded Neodymium sintered rotors for a stronger magnetic field and thus increased torque while reducing power fading towards the end of the run. Also new for the V3 is an updated stator design for increased top speed and increased efficiency. Furthermore does a new stator and wiring technique for the 10.5T to 25.5T stock motors lower the internal resistance b about 15 to 20 percent. The motors are housed in a newly designed can with large cooling openings that lower the weight by ten percent while allowing the motor to run cooler by about ten to 15 Degrees Celsius. All motors come equipped with highest-grade ball bearings, doing away with the need to use ceramic bearings and a mixture of titanium and aluminium stator screws provides both strength and efficient power.

Motiv universal motor bearing tool

Coming from Motiv is their new universal motor bearing tool for the company’s own brushless motors as well virtually any other brand. What makes this bearing tool special is its ability to adapt to any design motor and also that it can be completely rebuilt to replace any part necessary in the event that something strips or gets bent. Included are three different cup sizes which will allow owners to choose the proper place on the sensor unit or end bell to apply the pressure necessary to install new bearings. This results in drastically reducing the chance of motor damage during bearing installation.

Fantom Facts Machine 3S BL motor testing tool

Fantom Racing have introduced their latest motor testing tool, the Facts Machine 3S precision resistance and inductance meter. The device allows to test both the resistance and inductance of brushless motors, information that is critical to estimate the performance capability of brushless motors. The general rule of thumb is the combination of the lowest resistance and highest inductance produces the highest performance for RC motors, and the difference between these two numbers we call the “spread”. Typically, the bigger the spread, the better the motor will perform. The motor tester is not mass produced, but rather is hand-built one at a time, in the U.S.A., to the highest standards in the R/C industry. The Facts Machine 3S calibration is double checked for the highest accuracy possible, using five percent tolerance resistors and inductors. The compact device comes in a sturdy, foam padded storage box and it is available now.
